Recently, I bought Medieval War II: Total War through Steam. Whenever I click "Launch" it automatically cancels it, even though it says the game is 100% Ready. There isn't a problem when I try to play Rome: Total War, though. That works just fine, in fact.

If anyone can help me, I'd greatly appreciate it.

There's a common problem with the launcher I believe, although I thought that was only when you use the kingdoms expansion.

EDIT: No I'm wrong sorry, yeah I think the Medieval 2 steam launcher is a failure I have the same problem. I'll have a look for the thread I used to fix mine, although it means I can only play Medieval and not the expansion (dunno if that'll work for you if you only have the main game).

Would anyone be able to tell me what has happened to me?

You see, I have been downloading Torchlight over the last week. I first noticed the problem when I paused it at 20% and went to bed for the night. The next day it was back at 0%, but I assumed that it was because my laptop battery had died. So I'm downloading portions of it over the next few days and when it is at 60% and I get home from school and go on my laptop, it has gone back to 0% again!

No clue. The game would easily download fine if I did it all at once but I've been doing it over a few days instead and it randomly goes back down to 0% whenever it feels like.

Yeah that's what I plan on doing soon. I can't really do it now because we only have like 1.3gb of downloads left that have to last us over a week.

No no no. It resets to 0% every time you reset the connection. It's a percentage of data remaining to download, not a percentage of the total.

It's silly, but that's how steam works.
