I love how pirated games are better products. Cracked versions don't have a "check the date" issue.

Sadly, they have taken away the only reason I bought anything at Steam - cheapness. Steam used to be 1/3 cheaper than retail games. Now it's 2 times more expansive on Steam.

Oh, and I don't need to have an Internet connection to play games I legally own.

I don't either. That's why I don't like retail games that authenticate every couple weeks.

Demand DRM free games and times will chang back in our favour. Oh, and stop pirating.

That wont happen. People wont stop pirating and Gaming companies wont stop making their games with DRM. The only thing you can hope is that DRM becomes less intrusive and more..."friendly". Steam works and has room to improve the only wrong thing here is that Europe will have to wait one day to play DoW2.

If developers start noticing how DRM usually lowers your sales, they will stop adding it.

As it's NO, absolutely NO protection against piracy. DRM is cracked the same day they release the game. So why bother paying hundreds of dollars for something that only harms people instead of helping them and is hurting your sales?

Did EA started removing DRM when Spore became one of the most pirated games ever? Not a chance. They will keep making more invasive DRM till they manage to make one that cant be cracked. Also DRM exists cause of us the costumers that keep pirating games. People say theres alot of piracy cause the prices are high? Well thats bullshit. Cracked games have been around for a long time. I remenber the so called magic chip for the PS1 that enabled the use of copied games. And PS1 games back in the days were cheap. Yet thousands of pirated games were made every day.

If people stop completly of buying games, little companies would open bankruptcy and the big ones like EA,Valve,Blizzard would simply close and put thousands of people out of job, by something gamers created. DRM is here cause we the gamers want free stuff or want to pay less... We cant demand the companies of removing DRM from their games when they simply want to protect their creations, and make a living out of it.

This not only applies to the gaming world. The same goes for music and movies...

DRM sucks thats true its better off then in..the problem now is that companies are tired of getting sacked for their hard work and reducing the prices are not a option, so they must find another way, and its a way that loyal costumers hate and dislike.DRM is shit but its here to stay and the best thing we can do is hope that it doesnt get out of hand.
