Damn, Valve knows how to make gamers happy. Their "Perils of Summer" sale has some great deals. I just bought company of heroes and the first expansion for 5 bucks. A bunch of collections have also lowered their price, for example the THQ complete pack is only 50 bucks.
Did any of you buy something or are you waiting for a certain game to become on sale?

I bought "The Witcher" for 6.80, other than that the packs don't entice me.

I bought the THQ complete pack last time it was 50 bucks... I wish I waited until now, because now it comes with Metro 2033 and the Dawn of War II expansion pack... but now I check every day for the daily deals. Last time they did this I got Dragon Age for like 20% off. I'm thinking about grabbing the Square Enix/Eidos complete thing for $75. If it goes down even more, then it's a definite. A couple of things I'm looking for are the sales on Crysis or Metro 2033, but really there's going to be sales on games from now until the 4th so who knows what will show up.

As usual I miss out on this amazing sale because I'm not old enough for a credit card and have no other way to really get it.

Sad face.

Got Red Orchestra at 50% off or something, big annoyed at getting the THQ pack a few months back when it was on sale for the same price it is now, but now it has been updated to include Metro 2033 and the Dawn of War 2 expansion... Still a good deal though. By the way, why does the ID pack not contain Quake 4?

While i'm on the topic of the ID pack, the Steam version of Doom 3 is the most buggy game i've ever played in my life, even Big Rigs can at least support the Steam overlay.

I plan to get Left 4 Dead 2 tomorrow when I get better intarwebz. It's taken a lot of willpower to ignore the Valve complete pack and the Call of Duty complete pack.

Not this sale I got enough from the last sale to keep me going for ages. If I see something particularly good I might get it but I am waiting for the next sale really at christmas. Wasn't this thread done very recently though?

I am hesitant to purchase anything else from Steam because, thus far, I have not enjoyed the games I have purchased from Steam. The last two games I got were Morrowind ad Deus Ex and I disliked both of them so much I uninstalled them.

So I've been trying some of the demos for other games I have been curious about. Fahrenheit was trial and error gameplay with piss-poor mouse-based Wiimote waggling and, therefore, can go fuck itself. Prince of Persia Sands of Time was a platform game with a lot of convoluted acrobatics that are nigh-impossible to execute with the controls. And Painkiller which seems to be a decent enough FPS even though it seems like the enemies are a bit to resistant to projectiles for my taste. Of these, Painkiller seems to be the most worthwhile, but not enough to buy and Fahrenheit can go fuck itself.

I have been hemming and hawing about buying Beyond Good and Evil. I had rented it for the PS2 a year ago. I didn't finish it but I go as far as some boat race where I got stuck trying to figure out where to go and what to do. So it may the the fun stopped right there and I don't want to pay money to find out.

Already spent 90 euros on it. Damn steam sale.
But still got 2 copy's of l4d2 to give away. So if anyone wants to have one for even lower pricing then now. Just contact me.

Yes I bought the 4 pack but 2 of my friends doesn't want it. And the rest already has it.

So far, I bought Lead and Gold, and Left 4 Dead 2. I think I'll be spending quite a bit more before this sale ends.

I picked up "Kings Bounty" this morning. I highly advice you pick it up if you are into the Heroes of Might and Magic series at all.

Just bought Left 4 Dead 2 for $10.20 bout' 30 minutes ago. Granted, my crappy PC probably is going to have a little trouble with it, but what the hell, it was ten-goddamn-dollars and twenty-fucking-cents. If that isn't a good enough excuse then I don't know what is.

Now if only I had some extra money to pick up Counter Strike: Source and Painkiller before the sale ends (money isn't too easy to come by, unfortunately)...
