Ok so Im not enitirely sure how this works

so aparantly some internet providers in Australia have their own steam content servers, mainly Bigpond/telstra so dose this mean If I have that provider I can use the downloads without it affecting my limit? I went into settings and switched the server to Australia NSW (telstra)

or is there more to it than that? any help would be greatly apreciated

Here's what you do:
1. Uninstall steam.
2. Buy hard copies of all the games you would otherwise buy from steam.
3. Laugh, never look back.
4. Enjoy your games.

Methinks there is a Steam hater among us...

On topic, no, I think you've done all you need to. SHOULD work, but... probably won't, just because I said it will.

I have. I hated it. I never dealt with it again.

Hatred implies a lack of reason. I dislike steam because digital distribution is an enemy of gaming, Valve is an enemy of gaming, and Steam is a digital distribution platform that Valve profits from.

As a reformed PC gamer I will just say this: The only things you won't be able to get if you go console are MMOs, RTSes, and certain indie titles. Unless that's your gaming palate, there is a win scenario here.
