Afterimage and Chronicles of 2 Heroes for me. Not huge discounts (20%) but they did only come out this year a month or so ago.

In any case, in my neck of the woods, because of inflation (a whopping 115% annual) it's more pragmatic to just buy the game ASAP. Full price is usually cheaper than waiting a year to pay 50% off. For perspective, preordering RE4 cost me $22.000 (pesos, lol) in March. Today 60 dollars are worth $28.000 pesos. It's pesos so the zeroes are meaningless, but that's a +20% hike right there.

Whatever, just wash your hands.
Ended up returning Asterigos and Dead End City. The former was kinda clunky and had way too much exposition, so it had a really interesting look and a kinda interesting world, but it was so in your face about it. Returned Dead End City since most of it was these weird galiga waves and the music was just annoying.

Grabbed Raptor Call of the Shadows and Crisis Core -Final Fantasy 7- Reunion.

Added up it would cost $175 for me to get all the discounted items on my Wishlist (bar one), which would be:

ANNO: Mutationem
Detroit: Become Human
Forspoken
System Shock
TNMT Shredder's Revenge

The remaining item is Hogwarts Legacy but this is less a moral stand and more its discount is small proportionate to its price so its still uncomfortably close to $100.

I might just pick three and get them this sale.

Considering Total Warhammer 3, but not sure there's really that much of interest over TW2 to justify the price for me.

Terra Invicta I will get when it's out of early access.

Otherwise I have the hitman series I've not played yet, sniper elite 4, Dead Island, Boltgun to finish...
Eh, I dunno I don't really have much desire to play any of them except Boltgun so I suspect I'll feel the same about anything I buy just because it's cheap, so I will probably be leaving the sale.

That was actually one I was considering, so glad I read your post before I bought that!

Oneechanbara ORIGIN is on sale for Steam and Free if you have PS+ Premium (The Standard Digital Version). I already got the game on sale back in 2021 w/the Deluxe Version, so I'm good.

Well, I bought the three games I said I was going to, which added up to roughly $80 in my currency of choice, and considering my current playing habits I'm probably not going to pick up anything else. Not near enough the birthday of anyone I know, either, so I can't justify buying gifts.

Bought myself a realistic flight simulator because I'm hardcore like that.

Returned Crisis Core, didn't realize it was a psp remake, but considering how small the stages were and how... annoying the writing was (seriously the tutorial makes your main character seem like he's too dumb to live and he kinda is).

Grabbed FF12 and DariusBurst Chronical Saviors. Oh, and BattleBit remaster.

Ended up returning Battlebit, its neat but not on sale and the sound effects are kinda crap, which is actually much more distracting then I expected.

I did purchase my final steam sale games too. Hostile Waters: Antaeus Rising, Iron Harvest delux, and Mechblaze.

I tried the demo for War Mongrels and just wow, the controls are completely horrid for that game (especially with a controller). I've played and loved Shadow Tactics and Desperados 3 but I couldn't even do such a basic thing of silently taking out a single guard in War Mongrels.

So yeah, some expenses.

Creeper World 4 of course (I adore that series, and it's the game I'm currently playing), and Particle Fleet while I was at it. I'll give it a go, although it feels like a rougher Creeper World. Particle fluxes instead of a pseudo-liquid mass, what's the point ? But I kinda trust Knuckle Crackers, so caved in.

Bought Aiplane Mode as mentioned. Also Night in the Woods and Signalis for their reputations as a good narratives, and Amnesia Rebirth. I loved the Puneumbra trilogy, but I have all the Amnesia to play before Rebirth. And also Nauticrawl (not sure why, not sure what to expect) and Radio General because I kinda liked Radio Commander. Indirect strategy games are interesting.

Bought myself Fallout 4, but I still have to finish New Vegas, as I had been interrupted by a change of computer. Also bought myself Phoenix Point. Unsure about that one, I loved all the turn-based X-Com games since Enemy Unknown. But I've hard good and bad things about Phoenix Point. I'm too curious to let it pass.

Also got the Ace Attorney Trilogy. Never played Ace Attorney, but I like the principle and I enjoyed Aviary Attorney. And got Globesweeper too, which, for better or worse, is as fun as a minesweeper gets (Tetris Effect feels still too expensive for a Tetris game, in my opinion, but that mineweeper was peanuts). Also grabbed Crowd Simulator, another dirt cheap indie artsy semi-game that was waiting for ages in my wishlist. And bought Grotto, intrigued by language-based gameplay (I loved communicating with aliens in Captain Blood, back then). And also Risk of Rain, finally. Been mildly curious about it since release. It also got so cheap that I lost any excuse to not try it.

I like weird indies, so also grabbed Inscryption. And also A Hand with Many Fingers because I like investigation games (from Covert Action to Shadows od Doubt). So, lots of games, lots of cheap ones. But the expensive ones are very very expensive (Paradox strategy games with a trillion barely discounted DLCs, so not today).

The irony is, I feel a gaming fatigue phase nearing. At worst I'll be all set when it'll have passed.

Ugh, if I didn't already have too many shootemups then I would have that too.
Aside from Ikaruga, Radien IV & V, my T-16 Mini, whatever is on Taito Legends 2 (PS2), Crimson Clover, and now RayCrisisxRayStorm I don't have enough. I admit I do this for a certain reason, so I can learn to get good or decent, and not just buy bunch, play them once, and forget about them. I admit that I have not touched Raiden V after playing it thrice. Basically the year that I bought it. Crimson Clover I've only played twice, because it is a tough as hell bullet-hell shooter that makes Ikaruga look like a walk in the sunflower field.

Crisis Wing takes a more old-school approach and plays similar to the 16-bit SHMUPs on the T-16/PCE, SNES, and Genesis. I welcome it.

Take your time and do what yo wanna do.

Well, during the sale I already got like 5 shoot em ups. On top of more time consuming games.

Since I'm apparently a shoot em up slut, I grabbed one more.
