I've recently moved to another country and I needed to get a new Click&Buy account because you can't change the country you're in. So anyway I got it, verified it and put around 75 Euros on it. When I tried to buy something off of Steam, however, it says that online payment is not an option and the only thing that would work is a credit card. So I contacted Steam support to figure out whether it truly is not possible to use the money on the Click&Buy account to buy stuff off of Steam in Switzerland...and that's where the real fun started.

So I post my ticket and add a side-note about not being able to pay with my German Click&Buy account(some weird error message popped up) and Steam Support only answers to the minor problem, not the real one - and that answer was completely idiotic and didn't answer that question either! I clarified, they didn't get; I clarified again, they didn't get it; they asked for a screenshot, I uploaded it...they closed the Ticket without giving any further reply! Couldn't they at least have said "we don't know" or something??

Anyway, has anyone had similiar experiences?

I've never had a problem with Steam or their support. Maybe you can't use your German click&buy because you can't. If you need more help try the Steam forums, they'll help you out and you become a part of a new community.

No, I thought they were pretty helpful.
Forgot my password (because I'm a nincompoop), they set me up with a new one and asked if I thought it had been hacked. Said no, so they basically told me "Don't let it happen again".
Bet the guy typing the message would've been waving his finger at me like a little kid that had done something wrong.
And that was that.

Only time I've ever used the support though. Maybe mass noggin scratching goes on whenever someone has a money problem.

My brother had some similar issues with buying a game of steam, none of the expansions worked, but he could make them work with a storebought copy. He ended up basically paying double to get the game to work. It's why I won't buy from Steam.
