Hey guys, I have a problem. Exactly a week ago, upon trying to sign into Steam to play one of my multitude of downloaded games, I am faced with a notice saying 'Your Steam account has been disabled'. Huh.

I have no idea why this happened. I got gifted a game just prior to the banning, but, as far as I know, said game was paid for legitimately and all was in order. I thought I'd sit it out, wait for an Email explaining what I had done, and maybe a date for when I can resume playing. Nada.

Now the Team Fortress 2 Engineer update is out (my favourite class), and I can't bear it anymore. I want my games back. I haven't done anything wrong, and Valve (who I have loved up to this point) has stopped me from accessing about £70 worth of games (which is alot, for me), without so much as a note telling me why.

Is there any hope of getting my account back? Has this happened to anyone else? Thanks in advance.

PS Sorry about that, I just needed to let off some steam. Ehehehehe...

..Have you tried contacting Steam Support?
I had a look here, and there doesn't seem to be any mention of an Email adress to contact. Can you supply one?
You have to make a steam support account in order to send something. Once you do so, send them your question, they will respond with an email of them telling you what they need yo to do. Coincidentally, I had this same incident happen to me about a month ago. I got an email saying this.

"Hello,

A staff member has replied to your question:

Hello Arturo, Thank you for contacting Steam Support. In order to investigate this issue, we must verify your ownership of the software and associated Steam Account(s). If you purchased software through Steam with a credit card, please confirm the card type (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express), full name, expiration date, and last four digits of the card used with the order(s). If you purchased software through Steam through PayPal, please provide the PayPal account holder billing information (name and address) and the PayPal Invoice ID. The Invoice ID will be 16-18 digits long and comprised of only numbers. It may be listed as the Order Description Number. If you registered software purchased at a retail location, please handwrite your Support Ticket Number --------- on the quick reference card or sticker above the CD Key (the number should not be written on a separate piece of paper or inserted with an image editor) and reply with a digital photo or scan of the CD Key in .jpg format. Please ensure that you submit a full-color image, rather than a photocopy. If you have any difficulty locating the CD Key on the packaging, please see the following link: URL: http://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=7480-WUSF-3601 Example scans: http://support.steampowered.com/images/faq/2347-QDFN-4366/cdkey1.jpg http://support.steampowered.com/images/faq/2347-QDFN-4366/cdkey2.jpg After verifying your proof of ownership we will gladly assist you with this issue."

Just don't be expecting immediate response, they took 3 days to respond to my question.

It should work for you (assuming you have what they asked for), unfortunately due to my horrible circumstances I could not get my account back, but that was my fault, so I can't blame anyone besides myself. At least I got a new steam account though.
