Ok, i need some help with steam, and you guys are ussually the quickest in solving problems. so i'll go into as much detail of the problem as possible.

Team fortress 2 now has an update. the update page says that it is 85.5Kb in size. When i press the start download button(or when it starts by itself) it will download for a few seconds, but only at around 7-1Kb/s. But, even though it is downloading, the progress bar isn't moving. Then in about 10-3 seconds, it instantly stops downloading and says "suspended" and the bar still hasn't moved a bit. now this just keeps repeating and i really want to fix this and play TF2. anyone got any help/suggestions?

Restart steam is a good start, also check that nothing (or no-one) else is downloading, i noticed i had a similar thing the other day. One last thing but you're not trying to play games while its downloading? cause that will suspend the downloads as well.

tried restarting, didn't work.

No, no-one is downloading anything. I am the only one home, and steam is the only thing on.

Also no. I'm not playing anything during its download.

.....
Please don't tell me i have to delete and reinstall the entire game again. because i WILL kill someone.

What happens when you start it after is suspends itself?
the last to things i can think of is defrag and verify the game cache although i don't know how much it will do. You may also want to check your modem settings.

Delete clientregistry.blob that seems to be a pretty general problem solver.

You could try changing the Download Region in your setting menu.

I've tried it several times, changing it to New york, USA (I live in Canada, and it's pretty close.) and most of the time it works.

No guarantees though.

Right click the game and hit properties then go across to the local files tab, and the options are in there.
