Steam Troubles

Right guys, this may sound incredibly stupid but I'm currently having trouble connecting to Steam. Is anyone else experiencing connection troubles at the moment. Plus, every time I try to recover my account, the client says there is no account linked to my email even though I was fine playing TF2 last night. Any suggestions?

Plus, I can't even connect to the Steam Community servers either.

Before I left for work at around a half an hour before you posted this, I checked my friends list to see if I was offline or at least set to away before I took off and it claimed Steam couldn't find an internet connection, and I was downloading stuff at that moment so I knew that wasn't the issue.

Could be maintenance or something.
