GameStop said today it will begin selling Steam Wallet codes in its U.S. stores nationwide today. The codes are available in $20 and $50.

Gamestop is the most recognized game retailer in the world and a leader in providing a state-of-the-art shopping experience for its customers.
Offering Steam Wallet codes at GameStop extends more options and convenience to gamers around to the world.
said Jason Holtman, Valve?s Director of Business Development.

So for anyone who was eager to get into some of Steam and their saley goodness you can now grab some games without having to worry about entering or having a Credit / Debit card. No mention of any other store selling them but it could just be a manner of time.

Granted I just use a Card with my Steam account but I can see where people would find this enjoyable, don't have to worry about being hacked and it gives you a way to give steam gifts without having to pick out a game for someone.

Well, it's an interesting development. For myself, the biggest draw of digital distribution is I no longer need to put on pants to acquire my games. Hence, this option doesn't seem too appealing to me (ignoring I don't live in the USA anyway).
