Not just this weekend but all of them in general. (BTW World of Goo is excellent and a steal at 5$).

My question is, do you buy the weekend deals on steam? Or do you think their like the free itunes song of the week (horrible trash that is so bad it has to be given away for anyone to actually listen to it for more than 30 seconds)? Or maybe you have another opinion entirely... please discuss.

L4D had a weekend deal once when it was still $50. Priced dropped to $34 or something like that. So no, they got some good stuff, I just wish I had the money.

I remember I bought the steam value pack (with l4d) about two days before they slashed 25$ for the total price.
Holy shit that annoyed me.

I was reading a thing about how the weekend deals are massivly popular for steam. They increase sales by such a large amount and it seems games people had no interest b4 will buy them (so it is a interesting way to get some of the indy games more coverage). I always seem to have no money left on my card when games come along I want to buy :(

I've wanted World of Goo for a while, I knew it was excellent, and I saw that weekend deal on Saturday, about midnight. Bought it right then and there. It is the most excellent puzzle game I've ever played, and I would pay $40+ for it if I had to.

Basically what I'm saying is: I EFFING LOVE THE WEEKEND DEALS.
