[Steam] What the dip?

So I have this habit of looking at the nifty graph Valve provides for number of active users on Steam. It's normally a rather predictable and continuous curve. A few minutes ago I looked at it and there was a really drastic dip in it (close to 2 million users disconnecting over a half hour). You can see the snapshot of the graph here

Anyone got any ideas so as to what happened?

Something was released/updated/pre-purchasable

Everyone on the server I played on in TF2 earlier lost connection to steam, said everyone was offline.

Happens when one of the above happens.

It was the friends server going down for a moment, but that happens kinda often relatively so it's nothing to worry about

Interesting. I wasn't worried, just fascinated

Steam probably updated or something.
