£40.31 - Not bad for what I got.
Now whether or not to buy FO3 GOTY.
...Shit, I feel like I haven't made the most of this sale.. Bastion and Magicka, here I come! But then again, my backlog is already massive, with games like Disgaea, Starcraft, STALKER Call of Pripyat and Shadow of Chernobyl, Serious Sam HD: The First/Second Encounter, Civilization IV, and much more... Is it worth it?
I grabbed PAYDAY for $13. I'm extremely happy with it, I play it so much. Too bad alot of people don't, when they do they're usually stupid about it. Oh well. Wish I could build an epic crew that gets together every Saturday or something tho.
I've spent much more than I probably should have on myself this holiday season:
Bastion
Portal 2
Shogun 2: Total War (Plus much of the available DLC)
Serious Sam HD Double-Pack
STALKER: Clear Sky
Also picked up the last Humble Indie Bundle if that sorta counts, plus a pair of games from the GOG.com holiday sale. Had Terraria gifted to me by a friend and in turn sent a few games someone elses way among them Plants vs. Zombies and Sequence. Neither of which I've played myself, go figure.
The only one I regret not getting is Metro 2033, but too late now. My wallet is quite literally empty, I'll just have to wait till it next pops up on a good deal when I've spare change to spend.
Half Life 2
Half Life 2: Episode 1
Half Life 2: Episode 2
Half Life 2: Coast something
Left 4 Dead 2
Sonic Generations
Runespell: Overture
Skyrim
Deus Ex: Human Revolution, The Lost Link
All of the Sanctum DLC
Jamestown Gunpowder, Treason and Plot
Bastion
Batman: Arkham City (+ Nightwing, Robin and Challenge maps DLC)
Xotic
SPAZ (Space Pirates and Zombies)
Fear 1 (Plus DLC/Expansions)
Fear 2
Fear 3
Trine 1
Cthulu Saves the World
Breath of Death IV
Lego Batman
Lego Harry Potter
Dungeons of Dreadmor
Frozen Synapse
And on top of that I have 13 Coal, hoping to win the draw for top five things on your wishlist, only thing I want really. Pretty happy with my haul, I mean I only speant like £80 which would have gotten me three games normally. Also, I only won SPAZ and Half Life 2, so I didn't win that many games. Oh and no coupons.
I even made a Notepad file to keep track of it all.
Here's what I won from doing Christmassy stuff (six things around Steampowered.com, Sanctum, Serious Sam 3, Killing Floor, Jamestown and Bastion):
-Two vouchers for Valve games (non-stackable)
-One voucher for a Sega game
-Trainz Simulator '12 (swapped with a Facebook friend for Space Pirates and Zombies)
-A voucher for Oblivion (which I already have and didn't much like) (crafted from coal)
Here's what I bought for myself:
-STALKER: Linear Edition
-Lots of shooters about some scientist guy
-Some Japanese RPG parody...thing
-A music game that uses music I don't have yet
-Headless Suicide Bomber Skydiving Game
-Left 6 Dead 4 Brits
-Two Ancient Egyptian gorefests
-Futuristic Egyptian gorefest
-Co-op solo shooter with experience points
-Programming for scientists/Science for programmers
-Casual game with Mayincaztec stuffs
Here's what a friend of mine bought for me:
-Metal Gear Solid with a little less conversation and a little more action
-GOTTA SPEED KEED
-SHAMEFUL DISPLAY!!! simulator
-Abstract match-7 puzzle
-That game with the camera that didn't sell well
-An XBLA-originating side-on arcade shooter
-An XBLA-originating top-down arcade shooter
-Lots of really old games with demons that you are
-A tool that lets you make movies out of Team Fortress characters
-128-player multiplayer modern military battles
In order: Metro 2033, Half-Life Complete Pack, Recettear, Audiosurf, AaaaAAAAaaAAAAAA! for the Awesome, Killing Floor, Serious Sam TFE and TSE HD, Serious Sam 3, Borderlands, Spacechem, Zuma, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, Sonic Generations, Shogun 2: Total War, Fractal, Beyond Good and Evil, Alien Zombie Megadeath, Geometry Wars, Doom Complete Pack, Garry's Mod, Battlefield 2
Civilization V and the complete id game pack. And now I have to wait until the end of the month to download it all so that it doesn't effect my 12gb internet cap. Yippee.
- Cities In Motion
- Mount & Blade: With Fire and Sword
- Napoleon: Total War
- Serious Sam first and second/HD and classic. Four games came together but I don't remember what the thing was called.
- Star Wars: Republic Commando
- Star Wars: Empire at War Gold Edition
- Unreal Tournament 2004
- Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War Gold edition + Winter Assault.
Then I ran out of bank account money about half-way through. I live in the middle of nowhere and can't drive so I have to walk several miles to put the cash I got from relatives at Christmas in the bank. Now I can't buy any of the stuff in the Encore Day, and have £100 in my wallet *right here*. So much frustration and rage.

-Random Awards-
Biggest Surprise: Prototype - always wanted to try. Runs great and is amazing to play. It greatly exceeded my hopes.
Biggest Disappointment: None, so far. Haven't dabbled in all of them yet. But I'm afraid this award may end up with Saint's Row 3.
I was doing well, managed to contain myself throughout:
The Binding of Isaac
BIT.TRIP Beat
Dota 2 (Traded for it)
Dungeons of Dredmor
PAYDAY: The heist (4 pack for the gaming crews christmas present )
Sacred 2 (Gift from friend)
Two Tribes Pack (traded one of my free prizes for it)
Greed corp (free prize)
Fable 1
Then today (the encore sale) hit, I decided I was going to go all out and couldn't contain myself:
Serious Sam 3
Deus Ex: HR
Shogun 2
Bastion
Pretty much cost me as much as the rest of the sale cost me, including the PAYDAY 4 pack.
I regret nothing.
I tried so hard to be good this year, but the deals were so damn good!
I bought:
Batman: Arkham City (£20)
Sword of the Stars II (£15)
LA Noire: Complete Collection (£9)
Magic the Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012 Expansion + Deck Pack 1 (£2)
Prices are from memory and rounded off
So total this Sale = £46
All in all not too bad. It was a DAMN good sale this year. One of the best. I barely resisted Deus Ex: HR (£10! A steal), and great games like Skyrim, Saint's Row 3, Shogun 2, and MW3 were on good sale prices for such recent games.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 ($14.99)
Homefront ($7.49)
Command & Conquer 4: Tiberium Twilight ($4.99)
None of them very good (in my eyes), but $15 is pretty much my "magic price point", and anything I've wanted to experience for myself that falls beneath that at least gets a second look.
I just got the Steampunk 2 DLC for Killing Floor for 49p, Universe Sandbox for £1.25, Assassin's Creed 2 for £2.54 and Counter Strike Complete for £4.29. And they were all for me!
