STEAM - Y U NO WORK?

I need some help with Steam.

Whenever I try to connect to it from somewhere without the internet, it says it can't connect to Steam network and gives me the option to start in Offline mode. Whenever I choose this option, it still says it can't connect to the network and I'm unable to go on it even offline.

Anyone know how to fix this, if possible?

Connect to the internet. Obviously you can't connect to Steam without the internet, but you can apparently only go into offline mode while connected to the internet. Brilliant, isn't it?

You have to have a saved state of Steam to use offline-mode. Sign in where there's internet, go into offline mode, and you should be able to enter offline mode after your internet vanishes.

As I understand it, yes, that's how it works. One of the reasons I won't use Steam.

Make sure you fully update every game before you go offline too, or you won't be able to play them.

Even people who use Steam see GoG's no DRM is better.

You have to check the "Remember my password" box and login with Steam at least once(online). After that you can exit/logout steam and when you have no internet, it starts in offline mode.

This sometimes happens for me, my solution tends to be log in to steam on my laptop before heading out in the morning, then when I want to access it from other areas in offline mode it tends to work, if I don't do that then it never connects, I don't think that's the actual solution but it works for me.

Also make sure that remember password is checked.
