I recenlty installed Steam just to browse around and see general prices for games. I realized that the games where insanely cheap compared to their store counterparts. Now the issue is, I live with parents (im 14) who do not trust buying things off the internet. I;ve tried explaining to them the simple ways of checking if a site is safe (eg. https in address and the secure 'lock symbol') but they still don't trust it. I thought of perhaps using PayPal but after signing up I found that you have to give you're credit card details over the internet to be ale to transfer cash. The only way to get passed this problem is either:
1) see if there is a way of getting cash onto a PayPal (or something similair) account not online (NewsAgency perhaps or something?)
2) Get a convincing argument to persuade them.

NOw a bit Off-TOpic but not worth making a new thread over. SOmething that's bugging me for a few days is that every once in a while my messages say that i've got 2 new ones and when I check them it turns out they're ones I already read.

Okay.. for your lil off topioc thing take it to the Forum issues thread...

The other thing. Find a one use "credit card" that you pre pay for. Spend your own money on buying one with enough to buy that game. Use card. Throw away card. If you want another game buy a new card

Give them this: Well I could pay this much, but you want to pay this much. So you cover the diffrence and we'll do it that way.

Go to a gas station or supermarket, and buy one of those visa gift cards($25-100) and just use that like a credit card when buying a game. There's a small extra fee when you buy the card, but you won't have to use any of your parent's credit cards

If your parents have ever ordered something over the phone, point out how the internet is far safer than that as on the internet no person ever reads your details whereas on the phone the person you're talking to can just write your details down for their own use later.
