Having recently been introduced to this sub-genre of sci-fi, I've been having trouble finding many steampunk or steampunk inspired books. Could any Escapists please help me add to my reading pile?

Boneshaker by Cherie Priest is pretty special. Set in a late 1800's America where the civil war has yet to end and zombies plague Seattle. She's also written a sequel(Possibly more since I last checked) which is supposed to be pretty good. And of course there's the Oswald Bastable novels by Michael Moorcock, if ya can track 'em down.
The Difference Engine by William Gibson and Bruce Sterling.
Morlock Night and Infernal Devices by K W Jeter.
Some people say The Anubis Gates by Tim Powers is steampunk. I don't, but its good anyway.
The Affinity Bridge by George Mann. He has written 3 or 4 steampunk novels.
The Bastable stories are good and are worth getting hold off. You could add in Moorcocks, the city in the autumn stars. It's more Napoleonpunk than steamspunk with an appearance from Satan but it works.

Otherland by Tad Williams comes to mind. Though it's not very exciting to be honest, I bought all books because it kept me curious enough to continue reading. And of course, do androids dream of electric sheep? Though I haven't read that one, it's supposed to be the book that inspired the makers of the great movie Blade Runner, so still need to keep my eyes out for that one too!!!
