Hello fellow escapists,
Yesterday, the famed physicist/cosmologist Stephen Hawking gave a lecture at my university, attracting the attention of about 3000 students. Even though only 850 students were allowed inside, the rest could watch this on a big screen in the city park.
Today, they put the vid on the internet.
Stephen Hawking came to Leuven, Belgium, as he was working together with a researcher from my university, publishing a paper regarding string theory.
The researcher thought it'd be fun if Stephen would give a lecture - they were amazed by the large interest from students.
