Ah, Stephen King. He makes me proud to be a fellow native of Maine (I usually go past his house when I walk my sister's dogs, and I've seen him out and about a few different places). I actually haven't read much of his stuff (Cell, Nightmares and Dreamscapes, and The Green Mile), but I enjoyed it all very much, and his influence on modern fiction is undeniable.

My uncle has a Stephen King book dedicated to him. I think is was called Desperation?

Stephen King is my all time favorite author. My uncle made a point of collecting nearly all of his work, as well as those done under the pseudonym Richard Bachman, and then passing them on to me. God only knows how this man has managed to put so much creativity, and overall awesomeness into his writing, and God! That body of work is just inspiring.
