One thing I've found especially interesting about this site's development is that I slowly climbed from the lower third of the age spread into the middle. I thought that was kind of funny.

I think that this community has its issues, just like any other. They're just easier to see than in real life. In fact, I'm still not quite sure where I fit in with this community. When I joined, I was the typical new-member, trying to keep up with the standards, stretching my abilities to fit them. I didn't quite make it then, but I'm now able to do that, but all the good discussion seems to be gone. Do I make threads? I was never one for making them, I've only ever made two. They didn't do to well. Perhaps I should try again? Actually contribute? Sounds like a good idea to me...

He is the "King Of The Escapist" because people let him become that. People gladly kicked Ultrajoe off his rightful throne to let Max take a seat.
In a way, I think he's become sort of a yahtzee figure. People adore him, yet he casts them aside. However, he has stated that he doesn't enjoy these forums anymore, so maybe the problem will resolve itself. Nothing against the guy personally, but he's got this little following, and it's not all that healthy for anyone.
