I hate being lumped in as the science major. I have a girlfriend, a massive amount of friends, and I am not a socially awkward mess who only studies and plays WOW. (No offense to any WOW players). Oh and to those jack asses who ask me why I study so much when they have so much time to party, let me remind you, I have a tough major, undergraduate marketing is not a tough major, learn the difference.

6. snooty brainiac: This one comes from the fact that I read books. Yes, I like to read. Sue me. I know in today's current culture that must seem like an insane thing to do, but I can't help it, I just enjoy reading. Leave me alone for it!
Clearly not, you used "good" when you should have used "well" earlier in your post.

Now you have proof of either your lack of braininess and/or lack of snootiness. Also, how much of the entertainment factor of wrestling do you think you derive from the homoeroticism?

Stereotypes of New Jersey residents are usually terribly wrong.

I'm having trouble with this because I "pass" as a straight male and my accent isn't the ridiculous stereotype people usually identify with New Jersey, so I'm not often put into stereotypes.

When people find out I am gay though, I usually get, "But you don't conform to my preconceived notions, EXPLAIN!?" or they expect me to 180 into some mincing stereotype after the big reveal.

I am a Christian, therefore I am a boring, ritualistic killjoy who throws rocks at homosexuals, looks forward to the apocalypse and hates anyone who believes in another God.

Newsflash: That's not a Christian

I also believe that Jesus was a Christian and world is 6000 years old.

A lot of people seem to think I'm gay the first time they see me.

I dress slightly different and I am a generally happy / talkative / enthousiastic person. That's all. I don't mind the stereotype, it's just strange.
Pretty much so. With some people i had to specify that since they were kinda intimidated by me.

My ones:

-Being Thirteen years old: Apparently I'm instantly one of those screaming imbeciles on the Xbox 360, what is weird is that I don't even provoke a reaction for someone to say that to me. They instantly hear that I'm thirteen and then I get verbally lynched.

-Half Italian: Well more nine sixteenths Italian, but no time for formalities. Basically it is assumed by most of the presumptuous racists that I have family in the Mafia, I run around selling drugs, greasing my hair back, wearing leather jackets, talking like Italians in the movies, and acting like the Fonz. I said eyyyy one time in Grade 5!

-Australian: This isn't so bad in my own country as it is on the internet, I don't say crikey and mate, I don't have Kangaroos in my backyard, we don't all own shotguns, we don't wrestle with crocodiles, and we are most certainly not all idiots. With the latter I find it quite humorous when I am told by some American that Australians are all stupid, because I direct him to a certain internet page which actually states that Australia is tied for first place in the best education in the world, and guess who is not in that list...America.

I have Tourette's Syndrome but not Coprolalia.

Tourette's syndrome manifests itself as a variety of "tics." I've heard before that these are involuntary, but in my case this is not true. Think about the way you feel when you have an itch. It takes all your concentration to avoid scratching it, and even when you do, it doesn't get rid of the itch - it only makes it feel better for a few seconds. Well, it's like that with these tics. Some of my tics include bending my fingers back as far as I can (to apply pressure to a particular joint,) blinking really hard (to apply pressure to my freakin' eyeballs. This one sucks.) and this sort of buzzing sound I make with my teeth.

In Coprolalia (lit. "shit-talking"), the tic happens to be a word. I don't know whether the word is always a swear in this case. There's no reason why it would be, I think.

NOBODY has Coprolalia. Maybe a few percent of all cases of TS are Coprolalia. Chances are, if you went to a Tourette's Syndrome convention with several hundred members, there might be one guy there who has Hollywood Tourette's. And he wouldn't be shouting it, either.

I also wonder if people will think I'm emo just because I have "emo bangs" that only cover one eye. I wear them like this to show that I'm introverted.

World of Warcraft Stereotype - Just because I play World of Warcraft does not mean I am an anti-social nerd who spends every second of my life playing World of Warcraft. Just because I play World of Warcraft I do not avoid my friends like the plague just so I can play World of Warcraft. Since I play World of Warcraft that does not mean I have 0 friends.

Death Metal/Screamo/Deathcore - Just because I am shy and silent, and listen to this type of music I am not a walking time bomb. Just because I listen to this music does not mean I am a satanic worshipper. Just because I listen to this music, it does not mean I am going to kill everyone in my college one day because I 'snapped'.

Graphic Novel/Comic book reader - Just because I read comics does not mean I am *please refer to comments regarding World of Warcraft*. Just because I read Comics does not mean I dress up like Batman and run around town. Just because I read Comics that does not mean I dress up and go to comic conventions.

I don't drink - Just because I don't drink it does not mean I am a 'pussy' it does not mean I am anti-social, and it does not mean I am a 'momma's boy'. It just means I don't like the feeling of being drunk, and nearly all those drinks you drink make me want to vomit because of how disgusting they are.

I guess they are the ones that really get on my nerves.

The whole southern stereotypes:

I'm uneducated
I like country music
I fuck my relatives
I hate black people
I shoot stuff for fun
I drive a tractor to school
I'm prejudice against ANYTHING
George Bush was my guy
I like to eat "critters" and "vermin"
I must work on a farm
Hitler had the right idea
I live in a trailer
I got some 14 year old pregnant
I use chewing tobacco
I must own a gun
I must drive a big pickup truck
I can't wait for President Palin

I can assure you that none of these are true. Well, I do drive a truck but it's not a big redneck truck. It's just a simple, gas efficient truck because I'd rather be able to drive home from grad school (school's in Ohio, home's in South Carolina) than to go mud-boggin' with my idiot friends.

The only southern-ism that's true with me is that I have a bit of an accent (it's been called "classically southern") and if I could I would inject sweet tea directly into my veins.

It is kind of fun to see peoples' minds get blown when you know they have those preconceived notions and I shatter them.

None. I don't watch it because of its potential for homoeroticism. A concept that many people find baffling, because apparently gay people only ever watch anything for it's gay subtext.

Is it so hard to think I watch wrestling because it's interesting and entertaining, without playing host to the misconception that I watch it to crack one off over men in pants grappling each other? I mean, have you SEEN the vast majority of wrestlers? They're ugly fucks, they really are. There's only ONE attractive wrestler in the entire WWE for god sake.

Every single English stereotype that comes from America. They aren't true guys...
So we didn't whoop your ass in the 1700's and save said ass in the 1940's?
Well in regards to the 1940's... no, you didn't.

Don't get me wrong, kudos for the D-Day landings and all, but if you look at the history before 1944:

WE had already won the Battle of Britain.
WE had already won in North Africa.
WE had already damn near defeated the U-Boat fleet.
THE RUSSIANS had already won in Stalingrad.

So although your contribution afterwards is greatly appreciated by everyone, by the time you entered the war in Europe... WE WERE ALREADY WINNING. (and I'm sick about how we get next to no credit for this.)

Usually I get thrown into the 'cut themselves in a corner emo people' because I wear black, listen to metal, and write depressing poetry.

Also because i'm a girlgamer doesn't mean i go on xbox live or PSN find sex partners and send porn. Fuck no. I go on to make friends, have a fun time playing games and such like that, and also to show guys i can kick ass at a game.

Hate#1: The fat and lazy stereotype - yes i'm fat I get it , but that doesn't mean i'm lazy, I walk to work everyday and I attend a youth Drama group which means i'm running around after children all evening.

Hate#2: The Weeaboo stereotype - Ok i'm facinated with the Japanese culture, I'm trying to learn the language on my own( which really difficult ) and yes I like anime and manga. But I don't go around fitting random japanese into every sentence, not everything i like is japanese, so please stop calling me a weeaboo!

Hate #1: The British Stereotype: No I am not gay, I am not xenophobic, I am not going to instantly assume I'm better than you, I will make an effort to learn your language, AND NO I DO NOT LIKE TEA!
I get the xenophobic thing too, I like learning about other cultures, if anything I don't like being british because of this stereotype.
I am proud of being British (I mean, I get that we don't exactly have a perfect track record about stuff like the empire. But considering just how many of the ideas and inventions that make the world what it is today came out of Britain I think we have rather a lot to be proud of). But according to my brother and several other people, liking my national identity means I automatically hate everyone I can't instantly relate to... like it's a rule or something. (and I also think it's worth noting... we might have made a lot from slavery in the past, but we were also the first to abolish it.)

I'm cute and I have glasses. OBVIOUSLY I must be really smart and know everything about everything ALL THE TIME! Newsflash: I don't.
It's annoying, helping a couple of people out when they don't know something and wearing glasses means I am now also stereotyped as 'Knowing everything about everything' and I get stick when I don't know something.

I am also stereotyped as posh because I am English. Then I 'respond' to such allegations and they shut up about that.

The "You're a male dancer so you must be gay" one is pretty annoying. Not to mention it's cost me at least one date...

The British Stereotype gets on my nerves, sure, I may be a tea drinking, crumpet eating Brit, but I am not gay and I do not have bad teeth, the whole bad teeth thing has been redundant for quite a damn long time now anyway.

The Actor Stereotype: "Hurr he enjoys actin'! He must be a queeeeer!" Oh fuck off.

The 40k Stereotype: "Hurr he enjoys tabletop games! He must be a fat, unhygienic neckbeard!" Again, fuck off.

The Divorce Stereotype: No, just because my parents got divorced does not mean that I am now impossible at forming any meaningful relationship with anybody, does not mean I am always unhappy etc.

The Weeaboo: I like anime, I like some aspects of Japanese culture, that does not mean every other word I utter is a Japanese phrase and does not mean I find everything "HNNNNGH SO KAWAII!!!!11"

The Military Family Stereotype: "What's that? Your family has a large military background? You support our troops? You must be an unthinking, moronic, xenophobic Nazi!" ...Yeah, sure, whatever. How's that Left Extremist lifestyle working out for you there buddy?

Then of course, relating to the war, that good old stereotype that says the Brits can't fight for themselves and that America came and saved our asses.
To be fair guys, the assistance was appreciated, but you showed up pretty fucking late, and by that point we were already doing a good job of winning. Stop taking credit for doing all the work.
