Stereotypes

i'm gonna go out on a limp here and say that there might be racial trait stereotypes, but most of the sterotypes you people define are simply misconstructions laid upon you from society. those don't really differ from country to country (country x hates country y, people from country z smell, etc).

racial traits however, are interesting. i'm not talking color of skin as much as i am talking sub categories; such as gaulic, slavic, caucasian (caucasian is NOT the term for general white people), south asian, north asian, aboriginal black, african black and so on.

there are certain traits that people in different regions and climates have accustomed themselves to. like, a black african might have a body that is more resistant to sunlight and heat, whereas north gaulic might be naturally resisting the cold of northern europe. or that south asian people are tall in size, where as north asians are smaller and have their eyes squinted together tighter (to preserve themselves against the barren cold climate, example mongolia).

i wouldn't put it past nature and evolution to have given each of us different subtle traits in mind and ideas as well, and although i have seen my share of evidence, i doubt it would be enough to make that claim.

Stereotyping has only really affected in my school years, where people would make assumptions of who or what i am because of the music i listened to or the people i associated with.

I wear black therefore i'm a goth: it's called a school uniform, you are wearing one too, nice observation.

Your friends are goths therefore you are one too: No, they choose their own lifestyle just like i did... And i prefer the term "Artist".

Your music is nothing but heavy guitars and screaming!: No, my music is techno and Instrumental, but what would you know? you've never actually ASKED.

Your hair is long and dark! You must be a goth!: It's long because i look like shit with short hair and it's called my NATURAL hair colour, sorry i didn't choose peroxide blonde like you...

2. Vote for McCain if I am a true American - SORRY, people have been saying that to me.

7. Love the Army or Marines and hate the Air Force or Navy.

1. I've lost my hope on America but I hope Obama will change that.

I'm North American, raised in Louisiana, and currently living in Arkansas, so:

1)I'm supposed to be illiterate- Poppycock.
2)I'm supposed to have a Southern accent- I actually have a neutral one, as do numerous others down here.

I'm Iranian, therefore I'm a hairy dark guy who speaks Arabic, has an Arabic accent who doesn't think the holocaust ever existed, supports terrorism and think Ahmadinejad is a genius...

Only the hairy part is true, I'm pretty pale/white for a middle-eastern guy, no accent here, and an Arabic accent is nothing like an Iranian accent anyways. I also speak no Arabic, I do acknowledge the holocaust's existence and I don't support terrorism in any ways. I also think our president is an idiot, as do most Iranians.

I honestly don't hold a stereotype. I take from a little of each group, so I don't fit into one category.

Region-wise, I was born in Tennessee, but I speak with a very mild English/Irish Accent (It fluctuates depending on mood), and I don't have any links to my southern culture at all.

English, so apparently I have bad teeth, am extremely posh, drink tea all the time, and talk in a snobby British accent.
However, my teeth aren't the best, but are pretty good. I would not consider myself posh at all, I just have high standards when it comes to grammar. I drink tea every now and then, but it's two sugars and milk. My accent is... Goodness knows what type of English it is, but it isn't snobby.
