This is a Gaming forum, is it not. Steve Jobs and his computers that don't play games aren't welcome here.
Macs can play games. Most notably as of late, source games like TF2.

You don't have to bawl your eyes out over a death like this, but a little empathy and respect can be shown to anyone.

We're never going to progress as a people if we just disregard deaths like these just so we can show that we have a ruthless, dominant sort of ego personality. All you're doing by acting like this is hurting/and or offending more people then anything positive.

Which is why this world would be better of if there weren't as many who thought like you. If you don't have anything positive to say about someone dying, then just keep your mouth closed and move along. Nobody is making you do it, and nobody is asking for your disrespectful opinion.

RIP, Steve Jobs.
Sure it can. If they deserve any. Jobs was a dick in life, and so he doesn't.
I'm not disregarding his death, but neither do I consider it in any way important to me. Well, that's not entirely correct. I could say I don't see any NEGATIVE impact on myself.

Yeah, people who have differing opinions should just shut up and go away, that'll make the world a better place. Keep believing that, buddy.
Did you not read what I said?

You're entitled to your own opinion. However, how fucking smart is it to blurt it out on here where pretty much all people are sympathetic? All you're doing is getting raised eyebrows and people muttering something foul about you.

You must be new here, troll. If you want to be disrespectful about someones death, go to another forum board. Otherwise, yeah, your opinion isn't going to be respected.

And it's amazing how you're acting like you're much higher and superior compared to everyone else. What, do you consider yourself the next generation of different thinking in morality? Get out.

Call Steve Jobs what you want, but the thing is, much more people are going to remember him - and respect him - then yourself. For the things that he has done for this world. What you have you done? Nothing, except spew negative thoughts. You're not helping anything at all but yourself.

Selfish.

Bye.

yeah... Im actually glad.

Not, and i repeat NOT because of the loss of human life. I was never an apple supporter, but I never would have wnated jobs to die.

Im just happy cause yesterday a kid in my Accting Class bought apple stock saying they were ready to make a come back and it was going to be solid. And I mean he bought a very good portion of apple stock. And now Apple Stock will plummet, and I'll just get to laugh and laugh at his "stable" stock.
That's actually pretty harsh. Laughing at someone because they just lost a significant amount of money is pretty petty.

OT: It does kinda suck. Cancer is an awful way to go, and as much as I tend to prefer other computers, he was very important to computing history. He had a vital hand in many empires, from computing to entertainment. As an innovator and businessman, he will be sorely missed.

I feel like I should feel something, but I was born in 1996 and only really got into the internet year before last. I just didn't grow up with his work. Lots of others did though, and I understand he contributed a lot. I feel for the many people he touched. Not sexually. But I guess the people he touched sexually are also pretty broken up about it.
Did you grow up with any Pixar movies? Because without him, Pixar (probably) never would've existed.

OT: Well that's. . . sad. I knew he was battling rather nasty illnesses, but it's disheartening to hear he passed away.

Indeed, it is sad, despite the apple haters, he was a key player in developing the personal computer.
Excatly this. I've never been a fan of Apple's computers or software, but he certainly helped bring us what we're currently sitting in front of. RIP, Mr. Jobs.

RIP Steve.

But he really should have aug'd his body out to the max, like David Sarif.

Or even just remain in Apple HQ within a huge life support module, as a tubed up super-sentient ultra-CEO.

Hopefully he's left instructions for his brain to be integrated into Apple's top-secret mainframe as AI.

I'm going to admit, with me, it's Microsoft, Microsoft, Windows.

But nobody can deny what Jobs has done.

Man, this fucking sucks.

According to my Local News Channel. They say that Steve Jobs Passed away only a few minutes before this post. Can anyone find an internet source to confirm or disprove this?

As you all know, Steve Jobs was the CEO of Apple Corporation. The Possibility of his death leaves me wondering what will happen to Apple as a whole.

Edit: Thanks for the help guys. http://www.apple.com/stevejobs/ Apple itself has confirmed that Steve Jobs has indeed Passed away. It is a sad day for all Apple Users.

RIP Steve Jobs.
Oh Good
Now, I know, sanctity of human life and all that, its sad that a man is no longer alive, but Steve Jobs the public figure...

There are two ways this plays out: Steve Jobs' singular vision and creative design are now gone forever and Apple is going to struggle because of it, or Steve Jobs' complete obsolescence in the development and direction of his company will be totally unmissed and Apple will continue making overpriced knicknacks for a specialized market group and suffer nothing except the aid of a well-known public speaker.

Again, I didn't know the man personally, and I am not trying to celebrate a group of people losing a member of friend and/or family, but I am not going to mourn the death of this publicly irksome billionaire.

Best wishes to his friends and family

burn in hell to his corporation

My grand father smoked and drank so much is innards should have been so black deep space got confused as to where it was supposed to be. He lived to be 95 and died of natural causes; to Steve jobs 50 something. Never cared for apple but RIP. Even if you did die a bit too early.
When it comes down to it, genetics probably has more to do with long life than anything else we do. That's not to say that your grandfather didn't shorten his life or lower its quality by smoking like a chimney, or to say that everyone should go hog-wild with it because it doesn't make a difference (it does), it just explains why some people do everything right and check out at a young age, while others put enough poison in their bodies to kill about 20 elephants and still live to a ripe old age.

Edit: To further do my duty as a responsible adult, I feel obligated to point out that there's really no way to tell ahead of time if you're lucky enough to have good genes like that, and it's best to play it safe.

I'll be sadder when Woz passes on. Nevertheless, he contributed much to computing and modern technology. Respect is due. Requiescat en Pace.

"So, today at Apple, we'd like to show you our latest creation. We think it's going to revolutionize, not just how we interact with each other, but the very way we all live our lives. We call it: iDead."

...I'm a terrible, terrible person.

If it's any consolation I laughed like a maniac. XD

Yes it is sad he is dead. Very abrupt to say the least. R.I.P. dude.
I may have hated your guts, but death is tragic....also it can be funny as well.

I've never been a fan of Apple or the man himself, but still, dying at 56 to pancreatic cancer is terrible. It makes me think though, no matter how rich and powerful you are, death doesn't play favorites...
And with strange aeons, even death may die.....

That's my morbid respects. A nice little thing to say for the dearly departed.

I heard about this earlier today and this came as a complete shock to me. My very first computer was an Apple EII, a lot of memories there.

An innovator has died today and has done so much with Apple while he was there, God speed Jobs!

He saw it coming since he left apple, probably was told he didn't have long or something.
