I recently installed TF2 because with school and all I'm really not gonna have time to sit down and get into anything.TF2 is just what I need right now and after a year of not playing it's still just as awesome if not better. With all the overhauls and enhancements it seems better than ever. The thing I love most about that game is that I no matter what I always feel like I'm doing something constructive, there's just so many options for the player.I'm getting owned as a pyro, whoop switch to a medic and support those heavies,we have the upper hand now lets switch to a scout, etc. If you played TF2 you know what I mean. It's probably the most fun MP shooter I've ever played and I know no matter what I can always boot it up for a good time.

What game do you find that no matter how long it's been since you played you always find yourself enjoying it?Not necessarily a deep experience just something you just pick up and play for a half hour and walk away satisfied.

Been hooked on it for the last 2weeks! Took ages to get setup on Win7 64 bit though.
Yes! A thousand times yes!

Also Secret of Mana is one I regularly go back to.

Being the cheap fuck I am, when the DK mood takes me I always just play the level with the diamonds. Infinite money makes a quick skirmish game so much more enjoyable.

OT: Hexic 3D, the puzzle game that the 360 comes packaged with. It's one of those games you can lose yourself in and play for hours without noticing.

Deus Ex. I played it recently to prepare for the upcoming one, and it's still amazing.

Gotta say Oblivion. That game just has a charm beneath the 3 different voice actors and wrinkled-paper faces that always seems to amuse me.

My Dad just reinstalled Freelancer on his new PC, and ramped all of the graphics up to max. It still looks pretty fuckin' beautiful after eight years. And the music and the gameplay and the cutscenes...ngggh. That game raised me through GCSEs. XD

Homeworld and Freelancer. I pick them up again every couple of months (or years) and they're still awesome.

GTA Vice City, Halo:CE, Ninja Gaiden Black, KOTOR, and Mech Assault (sadly that series has ended along with others).

When I played Kingdom Hearts II. Pretty big nostalgic for me xD I remembered how awesome it was. And how I maxed out the levels without cheating. Big accomplishment too me..lol.

Also playing Silent Hill 3.

I don't normally replay old games, but I got the Prince of Persia Triology to my PS3 when it was released. I hadn't played Warrior Within for perhaps 5-6 years or something and the game was even better than I remembered. Might count for something.

Also showed my mother Half-Life 2 the other day while trying to figure out if she might like some of my games(I'm tired of her playing nothing but Bubble Witch all the time). I didn't get very far before the game froze, but it was just as good as I remembered. The graphics still look awesome!
Gotta replay it some day, but I can't be arsed playing the long intro over again... I should've made a save file! >.<

I just came back to TF2 after a year or two hiatus myself. I've always loved the way the game plays, I only wish I could find a server not loaded with people blaring music over the mic, or have my battles not littered with texts of "******" and "UMAD".

Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers for PC. It's odd that this game never loses any appeal for me since, being a point-and-click adventure, there's absolutely no challenge left now that I remember how to solve all the puzzles. The story is still awesome, though, in my opinion the best of the old point-and-click adventures.

Other notable games include Diablo II, both Mass Effect games, Icewind Dale II, Batman: Arkham Asylum, and pretty much any game in the Soul Calibur series. It's not that I don't love the older games, I just find that a lot of them don't hold up too well under scrutiny after all these years.

Maybe a pretty steep learning curve, but Devil May Cry 3. The combat just... feels good. Sending those enemies up in the air and shotgun them in the face, dodging their attacks and then slice them from the back. I am not good at this game or anything, so I will just choose normal, pick up a controller and play like 15 minutes, fight a level or a boss and put it down.

Case in point, I HATE 4. Can't stand it.

i am currently replaying FFVII on my PSP (which is AWESOME) and i think i actually enjoy it even more this time then i did the 1st time. probably cuz i was an emotionally dead 12 year old at the time. this playthrough is actually quite painful sometimes due to how powerful the emotions are. also, i actually got aeris's final limit before she died, which is the best defensive spell in the ENTIRE GAME. pretty sad to lose it.
