I will never be scared of anything related to Slenderman, because of one, simple thing.

No matter how often I play it, I get freaked out. The combo of poor movement, limited vision and overall terrifying ambience freaks me out every time.

There's also this
How could Slenderman possibly still be scary under that beautiful blue sky?

After playing Amnesia: The Dark Descent I can't find any other horror games scary. It pry helps that I didn't find Amnesia: The Dark Descent scary either. It gave me a few chills now and again but I never jumped in my seat or anything like that.
Yup that was kind of the point of Amnesia... The environment was creepy rather than having things jump out at you.

Never been scared of it. Me and a friend watched somone play and laughed our asses off at them getting scared. Mostly dud to the ridculousness of it. Slenderman doesn't even move properly and when you do either stupidly walk backwards into him or smack into him round a corner the screens fuzzes like a TV with a bad connection and his face appears (which frankly is not scary at all). Maybe the scare factor is in the TV fuzz and it's attempt at making you think a TV is broken (Mai shows! Oh no....)

I know you mean well in posting this thread however this is a warning, stop trying to use it to promote your own youtube channel. The mods have already removed one of your links and I can see two other attempts already have been made. It's almost as bad the commenters on Youtube who go onto more popular channels' videos and post comments pleading for people to visit their channel and 'help' make them money. Just advising you so that you stay out of trouble.

I don't think it would be half as effective without the sound. The music is where it all is, particularly the piano chords. Slender man just sort of stands there chilling out, never leaping or dancing or doing anything. Still, it's a nice and effective idea for a simple horror game.

I'm gonna have to say that's what it is. I mean, his character model is awful but it doesn't matter when that music is drumming up and strikes you when you see him. >_<

Just saw that! I put an apology in my first post. Sincerely didn't realize that I was considered promoting. My apologies. I just thought it'd be funny. The character model though is a huge killer for the fear but the sparatic movement I think makes it scarier.

I find him interesting more than anything. He's a brand new monster. He's the vampire or werewolf of the internet age.

I just love that the internet had embraced the mythology and such so much.

I don't know why, but Slender never scared me to begin with.

Mostly because when he shows up my first instinct is "THERE HE IS! GET HIM! KILL HIM!"

It wasn't until my third failure that my friend walked in, saw what I was doing and told me the goal was to AVOID him.

Haha I thought the pitch black woods and odd figure in the woods didn't exactly invite the idea of KILL HIM!

Oh come on, I can't be the ONLY one. It's a game about a serial kidnapper and/or murderer! He NEEDS to be stopped by someone!
