Oh that was fantastic, pretty much anything directed at Ubi is gold at the moment but what you did raised the bar.

best idea i can think of for them being this retarded is that they are really greedy fucks

Id respect them for just not releasing a PC version of the game if they assume even the paying customers are pirates. But to go thru all this hassle with this "Always On DRM" (Which sadly is growing to become the norm now) just so they can earn extra 15% of their overall sales is really just Greed. i cant explain it any other way.

That or they are trying really hard to kill PC gaming.

I too wish Ubisoft would just stop making PC games; I don't need to play every game. It's one less thing to be angry about. Every time I open up Steam and see a Ubisoft game in the topsellers' list I die a little. Then I'm relieved that most Ubisoft games disappear from that list fairly quick compared to most titles.

Every time claims that Ubisoft really wants out of the PC market, I point out that they bought out Nadeo, a stubbornly PC-only developer (the DS and Wii TrackManias were developed by Firebrand Games). Contridiction, much?

Maybe their idea really is to make the PC version so unattractive with abominable DRM that people get the Xbox version instead, and so point to their poor PC sales and use that to get out of making PC games.

Upon further thought, I've decided that can't be true, they're just arseholes.

Damn it Shamus, now I have to do a "PC gaming, happily changing since 1985" picture D:

Granted, it wouldn't be very ironic seeing as how that statement is true...

Damn it! I'm confused!
The thing is, sadly the titles of that picture are awsome games and all classics, but that is just a bit more then one good PC gaming series per year over the last 25 years :(. How many console series over the last 25 years could we name (including games that were first released on consoles or had far more success because of DRM or better controls on consoles, or because despite existing more PCs out there the average PC is worse then the average console)?! If less then 38 then yes PC gaming is not dying at all.

And I hope in 10 years we wont have that image with just titles like farmville, mafia wars, evony and what not.

I am a bit confused... Why quote me? I didn't actually talk about PC gaming, only joking about making a new versison of the "Happily dying" picture.

In that case, consider the quote dismissed, I apologise for that :). And in case somebody wants to change the picture hope he does not take my last line suggestion seriously.

Dollars to donuts, the Overlord will be billed by Ubisoft for 'business consultation fees' after that phone-call.

And now they have a bug in Splinter Cell Conviction, which they refuse to ackowledge so far, that wipes your saves randomly. Shitter.

Whoops. Because the last Overlord comic I made was in 2009, and I copy pasted the text box.
Admit the truth, the DRM has infected your computer and it wont allow you to make new comics unless you install Games for Windows Live, are always connected to the internet and pay a toll fee for accessing their DRM authentication servers.
