Nicely diverted punchline. It takes a lot of talent to make that old chestnut funny again.

hmm where is the cakes brain?

I dont trust things without brains...
What are you? A zombie?

Also, the cake is a disingenuous fabrication of GLaDOS based on deception to try and give the test subjects a false hope.

tl:dr The cake is a lie. Hur Dur Dur!

That phrase wouldn't even make grammatical sense within that context, the falsehoods being that which the cake speaks of. The proper thing to say would be "The cake is lying."

Hey, I read the side sidebar too!

Also, I just came in from a long trip and somehow I didn't see it coming. Though, even if I did - good strip. Who knew a decent joke could still be squeezed out of that cake.

Loved it. Not much more to say.

So I'm going to guess that you're still sulking from nobody reading your sidebar last strip, Shamus? If it makes you feel better, I read it!
Thank you. I've been with a grief councilor and I think I'm nearly over it now.
If it helps, I read the last one as well.

And I guess you could say that this comic *puts on sunglasses* takes the cake.

Dude, I love you. This has made my day awesome.

Wait, what? I read the sidebar. Why does he think no one read the sidebar?

Because if you read the comments from last comic lots of people express excitement in the Companion Cube being interviewed. Despite the tiny paragraph next to the comic saying he won't be here.

Apparently a small paragraph consisting of 3-4 sentences kicks in the "tl;dr" response in people.

From now on, whenever I replay Portal, I will also imagine that the Cake's lines are spoken by James Earl Jones.
