Great comic; however, I must take umbrage that you called Wild Turkey a whiskey. It is a Bourbon. While unenlightened fools would say that Bourbon is a type of whiskey, truely knowledgeable individuals recognize that Bourbon is the true elixir of the Gods.
Gods maybe but Whisky is what Jesus would drink, as well as Chuck norris...

Loved the comic by the way

Complaining about the PS3 being heavy is just petty to me. Fewer games for more dollars? Now that's a criticism I can get behind. But really, there is no incentive to lug the PS3 anywhere but your TV set anyway, so a light weight would merely be another feature I didn't need. The Xbox has system link, so I'll carry it places - that is, when I can hear my games under its banshee howl.

Nope. Bourbon is a type of Whiskey. Wikipedia says it, so it must be true.
You sir are obviously a Yankee carpet bagger with no first hand knowledge of the belly warming qualities of a high quality Bourbon.

The entry in Wikipedia is an obvious conspiracy perpetrated by the Illuminati to deceive the masses into buying the inferior swill known as Jack Daniels.

Blasphemy!
I havbe deshided to doo shome reasherch into the matter. Thanks you for you imput.

We're still nit picking on the PS3, are we? I kind of thought we would have grown beyond that, by now. Not even picking great points for your arguement. It's heavy? So, I haven't had to lug mine around very much, save for when I'm cleaning. Not many games? I have 10 on my shelf, and there are at least 5 I can think of that I'd like to buy right now. Difficult programing? That song was sung with the ps2 back in the day.

The ps3 had some bad management choices when it first hit the market, but I'd say a number of them have been taken care of. You can find a ps3 for 50 dollars more than a 360. Since you basicly have to pay that differance for a Live account for the first year, it's basicly the same price.

These systems are for playing games and having fun. If all you can do is rag on a system to establish some false sense of superiourity, you've got alot of growing up to do.

And this.

Comic was pretty decent, at least it showed the PS3 as a badass.
I've come to the point where I just don't understand the criticism anymore. The high price is a negative, but not to the point that some people go on about it. I prefer sturdy to faulty products, and like anyone gives a shit about the weight.

Can't help but think of the series of comics about the consoles getting along with smiley faces, I'm just getting really tired of this all

juxtaposition (jŭk'stə-pə-zĭsh'ən) - Placing two or more objects or concepts in close proximity in order to illustrate contrast between the two, sometimes done for comedic effect. Example: Chris Brown likes his women tall, slender, and resistant to bruising.

Having said that - the sucker is heavy FOR REAL. I think the case is made out of Dark Matter.

Or maybe I just need to work out more.

[Joking]Wow 15 whole games now thats impressive! I mean I only have 33 games on my shelf right now and there are only 6 or 7 games out at the minute I'm looking to buy not to mention the 10 or so upcoming games.[/Joking]

On your second point I have chosen to quote you dont have to buy a gold account I went 6 months before getting one, and I never use it so didnt need it. Where as you have to spend the extra money to get a PS3 over an xbox or a Wii

sorry to butt in, but my gold account expired a few months back and I don't play my 360 often enough for the cost to be worth it (I'm at uni and my 360 is at home... plus everything else is there too. It sucks) but on the occasions when I do go home, I find myself getting frustrated by how limited some of the games are without a gold account. A couple I could mention, both some of my favourites, are left 4 dead and team fortress 2. I know left 4 dead has a single player and local multiplayer option, but I find myself getting so frustrated with the AI that I would really rather not, and I don't see why so few games offer a 4 player coop option. Instead, if they do, they just give two, even though there are usually 4 characters on your team (like gears of war, another of my favourites).
If you want to play with people on your 360, in my experience, more often than not you need a gold account. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong though, like I said, I'm not as up to date as I'd like to be

It. Is. Comedy. It. Isn't. Serious.

On a side note, seems the Sony Defence Force is here!

This comic probably would've been funnier two years ago, when these things were an actual issue. Right now it just seems like this guy can't let these things go, and is still holding on to hate that may have been justified in 2007.

Seriously, I understand that the PS3 isn't as good as the Xbox360. But saying it doesn't have any games is no longer true. There are only a handful of Xbox exclusives that it doesn't have, and it makes up for those by having compelling exclusives of its own.

I hate to get involved in this kind of topic, but it seems really out of date now to complain about the PS3 like this. So to supplant any accusations of fanboyism, here's my own list of complaints about the PS3.

*Lack of persistent voice chat.
*Servers for online play often substandard.
*General interface quirks that can sometimes make using the PS3 annoying.
*Lack of unified online play system (Game invites, party system, etc.)

I actually sold my 360 and kept my PS3 because I've played all the 360 exclusives I care to, and this year, the PS3 exclusives are far more compelling (I'm a single-player gamer). I'll probably repurchase a 360 when they have enough exclusive content that appeals to me.

I understand that this is just comedy, but this kind of stuff was beaten to death by game comedy 2 years ago. So not only is it not all that funny, but it's really out of date.

Read the notes - its a reference to what the top guy at Sony said.

Just to be clear: I pick on Sony a lot because I think they have made some missteps, but I wouldn't call the Xbox "better" than the PS3. A lot of it depends on what you need, which model you get, and how much you have to spend.

This entire console generation is amazing. I'm spending more time with the Xbox these days, but two years from now the landscape could look very different.

I'd much rather have the consoles killing themselves fighting for my affection than to have a single clear winner.

That was my first thought as soon as I read the first panel. Strangely, at the time of writing (only 35 posts in thread) he hasn't shown up yet.

As for the comic...decent, but I miss Shamus.

The strength training on the Wii Fit not helping any?

I still argue that the PS3 is theoretically the cheapest console. You of the $399.99 cost $299.99 covers the Blu-Ray player, leaving about $100 as the cost of the gaming hardware. Adversely, claiming that the gaming hardware racks up more that $100 makes the PS3 a cheaper Blu-ray player.

But it seems that lots of people believe its cheap (Note the pun.)

Assuming you want a Blu-ray player and don't want to wait until Blu-ray is as cheap as DVDs now are.

For Blu-ray, the PS3 is the best player since A) it gets frequent firmware updates; and B)it has extra processing for games that it can use for movies. For example, the Iron Man Blu-ray takes about a minute to boot up on some players, but takes 5 seconds on a PS3. Many people don't believe in HD, but once you actually sit down and watch it for a while, you notice the difference. It isn't something you can notice with a passing glance, and it well worth the extra $.

Also, the PS3 has it's brick built in, rather than attached to the power cord.

But I would agree that the PS3 needs more games, especially exclusive titles. I've always wondered why that is, and I guess this is why.
