Ok, I am so, so sorry to everyone who is as sick as seeing people complain about Valve as much as I am, but I just feel the need for this to be done. To anyone who has been bitching and whining; Give them a fucking chance...as if they even need to prove themselves to you vultures.

Nearly all I've seen about them since E3 is constant complaints about Left 4 Dead 2. Yes, I know, many Valve fans have been waiting for the next episode in the Half Life series, it isn't the people who say that should be released who are infuriating me. It's the people who would write Valve off as a lost cause or madmen simply because they think Left 4 Dead 2 has been announced too early, or should have been downloadable content. Give them a god damn chance. This game isn't even out yet, and you know nothing of it beyond the game trailers we've been shown. It's still got until November to be worked on, until then just wait and then we'll see if you have the right to complain.

I'm sorry you had to see me like that.

Oops, I forgot. Having the nerve to forget to search and end up making a thread similar to another one is like poison to some people here.

Stop complaining about people complaining about valve!
Left 4 Dead 2 should be just as good, if not better than the original so just leave it.

It's funny how some people (i.e. most of the people on the internet) can get angry about little things.

But yeah, I totally agree, but if you want to comment on Valve hatred you should probably use the search button as to not get the banhammer shoved into uncomfortable regions.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how I want my news of my lack of searching to be delivered. Nice and gentle. Thank ye, Gerazzi.

People, shut the fuck up about the search button. That is the one thing I hate here more than trolls and console fanboys. Yes, he should have searched, but in this case I think it can be forgiven, especially when the OP is someone who's been around this site for a very long time and has left a mark without the need to message spam (I'm talking to you there, Christemo...).

Anyway, I have to say I agree completely with the OP. Vanguard_Ex makes a very good point that we should wait for the finished product. As we all know, a demo doesn't necessarily give a full look at finished content and half the time the demo isn't even a part of the finished game. I should know, I've played more than enough demos in my time. Plus, people seem to forget that there are multiple development teams in Valve that work on different projects. True, someone else posted last night the rundown of developer numbers for Ubisoft Montreal, Valve, and another group (possibly Activision though I'm not certain). We saw that the other two have about 900 developers working on each project while Valve only has about 60 for each project. So? Developer numbers don't necessarily make for a bad game, for proof look at all the shit games out there from major developers and all the indie gold that's floating around XBL, PSN and 'tehz internetz'. Valve have a proven track record and we need to take that into account. They know what they're doing, and because there are different teams, development on L4D2 will have no impact whatsoever on development of Episode 3. People need to get that through their thick heads and I fully support the OP here.

Thank you very much Trivun. Especially for the opening comment. Feel all warm and special now ;D

While I agree with you Vanguard, you might wish to edit the title to be less provocative. As is, it will only attract a variety of troubles.

We always have the right to complain as Americans, it's guaranteed by the Constitution. Don't tell me when I'm allowed to complain or not.

HAH. Puh-lease, I'm British, you're talking to someone who's very nationality is partially defined by moaning. I never said you can't complain, just in this case, it's ridiculous and above all unjustified.

I don't hate Valve, I'd just expected them to put more into Left 4 Dead first. Had they waited another year to polish L4D2 and given L4D1 an extra campaign, then I think L4D2 would've been recieved better.

So? Shouldn't that mean that he should know better and use the search button anyway? Just because he's been here for a year or so doesn't mean he gets any freebies, infact it means that he should be expected to use the search button just like you, me, or any other veteran member here.

But as for the topic, I think he people who assume that L4D2 will automatically be better than L4D1 are just as bad as the boycotts who barely know anything about the game. What really annoys me about VALVe, to be quite honest, is that they're practically the Nintendo of PCs. Everyone automatically assumes that every game that they announce is pure gold and anyone who says otherwise is a heretic.

Maybe some of that thinking is justified, but I hate to see people brush off people who didn't like L4D1, Half-Life, or Portal as guys who "don't get it" and toss them away as if they're nothing but a bunch of whiners.

If you ask me, VALVe needs to be taken down a notch or two. Nothing too extreme, obviously, maybe just some dips here and there which is what they've been doing the past few weeks (or at least, the backlash they recieve makes it seem like that).

I'm not usually one to start threads, I'm more of a poster. The fact that you'd call it 'getting a freebie' though is an example of this zealous reinforcement of using a search bar. I publicly apologise for my crime.

Don't worry, I'm not trying to condemn your horrible disgrace of a baby-eating homocide murder crime mistake. I'm just saying that just because you're a veteran here doesn't excuse you from the regular forum rules just like how someone who just joined today doesn't have any excuse to not use the search button because they "didn't know better".
