Suppose you had all the money you'd need for this endeavour. You are someone with lots of money who, for no reason at all, decides to plonk it down in the games industry.
Since it's been the year of the sequel, you decide to either jump on the bandwagon and sponsor a sequel or stop anybody from making a sequel.

What would you sponsor or kill, and why? Anything goes!
This is your chance to post any game you'd ever wanted.
One important caveat: Sequels only! So no own creations! :O

I would kill another NwN 2 add-on and make them do a true sequel. Not a plastic piece of crap with worse interface, story and voice acting. Oh, and get a huge guy with a whip over to the CD-Projekt (guys who made The Witcher and who made Polish versions of Diablo 2, Baldur's Gate, NwN and a lot other) to motivate them. I'm sorry, but when they make a girl character use a male voice, and a warrior guy use a wizard's voice ("Damn magic failed me again" or something like that), at least make it possible so we can buy English version.

And also to whip them every month 100 times until they release 2nd add-on. I know it's an add-on for a bad game, but it doesn't mean people should be screwed over, because hundreds of people can't play online.

Furthermore, I want Ubisoft to finally make Beyond Good and Evil. Fix the small mistakes from first game (camera not always working as planned, frustrating stealth sequences, minor audio problems), add more great story and they'll be fine.

Perfect Dark 2 and make it like PD1 where it's relatively dark and serious even with the aliens (which I liked btw), I mean PDZ was fine but it was too colourful and cartoonish =( Where's the serious Ms. Dark of yesteryear?

Oh and Smash Bros DS. It's a no brainer and considering how much Nintendo loves to milk franchises they sure are avoiding this incredibly obvious one. I mean they could just port the 64 version and it would sell like chocolate cake (I know the phrase is hot cakes but that's silly)

Why would you stop them then? As its already being made....
Uhm. Read again. I want them to finally FINISH BG&E, sequel to it.

If there was a sequel to the last Legacy of Kain game...then yes, I would sponsor.
As long as it's on PC.

I don't really understand the GTA hate, surely with Saint's row 2 out there, it just means there's space for both styles of 'GTA style' game, the big dumb fun one, and the grittier version.

Oh, I'd ask for a true sequel to Def Jam Vendetta, as the 'Icon' release seemed to take everything that made DJ:V good, and throw it in the trash to replace it with jiggly backgrounds and what seemed to be a bemani based fighting game... idiots. To me, the PS2/Xbox Def Jam games were and still are the best wrestling games since they came out, unbeaten by anything. (Though I still have a soft spot for the blind button mashing idiocy of both the cartoon and the digitized WWF arcade games, the one with Legion of Doom and the one with Doink!)

The Def Jam games actually had a good 'feel' when you hit people, the exaggerated cartoon stylings worked well, and who doesn't love just slamming Sean Paul's head in the door of a humvee then kicking him in the happy sack 647 times in a row? Or was that just me.

You may have guessed I'm not a rap fan, but the addition of Danny Trejo and Henry Rollins sure helped.

I thought you were describing what you wanted the sequel to be like.
Yeah. But I didn't say I wanted to STOP them. Hell no. If anything, they should make it faster xD

If it would, however, mean that the game will be worse... Then don't release it till 2010.

God damn it, if it wasn't for the fact, that my BG&E is bugged and sound is messed up, I would install it right away...

Huh. Play it on PC then, you'll understand. Just to clarify: Your PC can handle Crysis at maximum details in 1680x1050? WELL BOO-HOO, IT WON'T HANDLE GTA IV ON MEDIUM!

I would yank the Thief and Deus Ex series from Eidos, force Looking Glass and Ion Storm to reform then make them release a proper sequel. One that hasn't been hammered down to fit on a Xbox.

I second a Spartan 2 game!

Also, Resistance 3 has to be made (with a little more "Fall of Man" in it than Resistance 2).

Series that have to die...
Sonic.
Halo.
Sonic.
GTA.
Sonic.
Halo.
Sonic.
Final Fantasy (should have stopped at X).
Gears of War (solely because I don't want to see it ruined. Lesson to developers; end on a high note!)

Can I start up Sierra again and pump out some adventure games? Can I use my money to donate all to Double Fine so that they can afford to produce their games? Can I invest in a next-gen sequel to the SNES game Boogerman? These are my concerns.

I would sponser Portal 2, Luigi's Mansion 2, The Elder Scrolls V, and Assassin's Creed 2 (yay!).

I would put Nintendo, Sonic, Fable series, and any movie games to rest.

I would send anything that may or may not look similar to Bioshock to oblivion.

Titan Quest, maybe with a more sandbox environment, like the TES games or Sacred.

Empire at War 2, with more of a turn based strategy element, more customization, basically tabletop 40k, with Star Wars, with an RTS battle map.

BFME3, with more persistent campaign options. Actual RPG elements in character development.

Arcanum.

Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines.

System Shock 3: A real shock title here, guys, not another bioshock?

Series I'd kill?

Fable, unless Fable 3 is substantially different from it's predecessors. Which is about as likely as Peter Moleneaux learning humility.

Sonic, Mario, Zelda, and Resident Evil. No offense guys, but it's time all of these got hauled out behind the woodshed and shot.

I would sponser Halo ODST, only if I could get some revenue from it because I know I would, theres plenty of Halo Fanboys.

I would sponser Elder Scrolls V of course because Oblivion impressed the hell out of me.

Perhaps the next Fallout if I could get an advance copy of the storyline to make sure it has nothing to do with the same as Fallout 3.

Age of Empires 4.

Not really a sequel, but a Gundam game that has every single Mobile suit PLAYABLE from every Gundam Series, with a good story.

Series to kill: Halo, Sonic, Mario, Zelda, Kingdom Under Fire, Fable, Resident Evil, GTA, Mega Man, Pokemon, Mario Party, Street Fighter, DOA, Tekken, Mortal Kombat, Madden, NHL, NBA, Mario Kart, Gears, Wario Ware, Final Fantasy, Dynasty Warriors, Wii Sports, Wii fit, in fact all names with the word Mario, Star Wars, and that is all I can think of for now.

Edit: Forgot about LOTR, ENOUGH WITH THOSE!

If I had $60,000,000.00 dollars, I´ll give them to Yu Suzuki, so he can finish the "Shenmue" series.

Definately invest in the restart of Starwars Battlefront 3
Bring the makers of SW BF3 Back to full staff
Stop the next WoW expantion (really I don't wan't WoW to ruin the storyline anymore)
Invest in the speeded production of Warcraft 4, and continue the story as if WoW had never happened.

This. If the capital ships could be destroyed, and the hero class removed from the game, that would be a worthwhile investment.
