This is awesome times awesome. It's awesome squared. I'm so gonna convince my violin teacher to teach me this. He'll probably be thrilled, he loves silly music.
Actually a few years ago they had something on at the opera house very similar to this but on a MUCH larger scale. They had the Sydney symphony orchestra playing all this video game music whilst on a gigantic screen they showed clips from each game. Better yet on some of the seats they had free WoW trials, I managed to find one and I gave it to my good friend. But it was really great, they played everything you could think of, and it sounded really good when it was a game that had a score based around orchestras such as halo and world of warcraft.
I have to admit this is good, but i've already seen it done by better people, namely, VideoGames Live:

Its bioshock, which to me sounds beautiful, especially at the start
But this quartet was good in how they managed to switch between the different tunes
