Whether they be for books, fanfiction, tv shows, films, comics, or videogames; share them here!

I have 2...1 for books, the other for...well, whatever, really. Probably not films, though.

1st Idea: Basically a pantheon of gods & goddesses each based of the elements(Fire, Earth, Water, Wind, Metal, Wood, Lightning) dealing and controling the world. It's like a court record of the events, and we skip around from boring days where nothing happens to significant days revolving around a chaotic sabotage committed by one(or more) of the 7 Gods and it points evidence at every one of them being the culprit, but you're not told whom until the very end; and even then, it's pretty damn vague.

2nd Idea: It's basically the journal of a lone, snarking, critical, cynical, misanthropic teenage boy in a world(not just the US) that's pretty much a dark parody of ours(think like the world of Invader Zim, Liberty City, and etc. with the politicians being dirtyhanded and evil, same with the corporations, and the people are retarded masses of sheep that buy and eat and believe whatever is told to them) that ends with him just snapping and shooting the fuck out of his school, his suicide note being a long and poingant criticism of what's wrong with his world today, and a list of simple answers on how to fix it all for the better; but the people finding it bring it the media's eye and misinterpret it completely and ban and blame all the wrong people and things(not to say that there was/were right things to ban).

NOTE: The 2nd Idea isn't a confession or anything of mine. Dealing with the possibility of someone thinking that right now.

The first one wouldn't offer the reader/etc any closure but would generate a good deal of discussion if wrote well, it would work better as a interactive story with multiple ends provided each God had a plausable motive, except 1, teh one you play as, or whome ever you would play as, as a book story, I think it would need a conclusive ending, perhaps multiple releases with minor changes so not everyone reads the exact same copy....But I'm no expert.

The second idea could be good but needs to be developed further, but has been done a few times so would need something to make it really stand out.

I have a few ideas for stories, but they are pretty lame, the main one I'm fleshing out myself right now is a Theology student researching the Bible finding clues to that Satan beat God during his rebellion, took his thrown and has convinced the World that he didn't.

Then there's a story based in the realm of FF8 with my own characters after FF8 and the Gardens go to war with the already waring nations to restore the balance of power, pretty generic.

Thanks for the criticism of my ideas, and I do know the 2nd has been done quite a few times(I really wanna get my hands on the products of the idea) but I do have a good(or at least to me) writer who may be willing to write my tales.

And your book idea sounds pretty damn cool. The fanfiction one...ehh, I don't really see that as being anything but either average or crap(but with a good execution, it might be awesome).

They're not really stories but merely settings. The first setting seems interesting and maybe you can do something like Rashomon style story.

The second one is really generic and seems to be just for shock value.

I haven't seen alot of Rashomon(just a bit), and how is the second one generic? And not really for shock value.

And they are stories, or at least the main plot to the stories.

I don't think you'll have to watch Rashomon. If I'm right it sounds like a reference to the "an event being seen through different people's point of view" thing they have going on.

I'm interested to know what kind of person would agree to write a story that wasn't their idea.
I don't think I could do it.

I've had an idea for a musical that i've been kicking around in my head for a while. Like what Mama Mia did for ABBA, but with rock or metal bands, and each character is a different band or singer, and do songs from the band. It's odd, but some songs work together and complement each other rather nicley for characters. Lamb of God is a veteran of the Iraq war, that sort of thing.

My girlfriend does, with her starting a degree in English Literature it's really useful, my ideas really get streamlined and scrutenised more than I can on my own, plus the bonuses the spelling, grammer and consistant perspective and tense settings. haha.

Besides, thats what the profession of Ghost writter is right???

If you have a writter friend willing and able I'd really make use of it!

So would you like to have one of them(I have two, actually. When I wrote the post I only had 1 in mind for some reason) write your story? I can easily ask them for you.

Whoops I meant if I was you and had a friend willing...etc, my girlfried "volentiered" to do mine. That being said, if I had the motivation to fully flesh out my ideas quickley, I might have jumped at the offer, but my idea weaving is very casual to fit around being ill and working when I can and my other commitments.

Yeah, I was curious as to why you asked me when you just said that your girlfriend's a writer(This was what I was thinking when I read your post before).

I don't want to give away too many details, as this is an idea that I am currently implementing. Note that I'm not only doing this as a story, but rather as a series of short stories, a series of corresponding short films, and if possible, a concept album (for distribution among friends and family) and a webcomic. So any musicians or artists interested in helping should PM me for more details :D.

Anyway, my idea is based on fairytales and stuff brought into the modern day and given a twist. I've already written and distributed the first two parts and the third and fourth are already in the planning stage.

Basically, we start off with Scarlett, aka Red Riding Hood, a 19 year old goth, who ends up in the traditional story, but with an indie girl called Luna rather than a wolf, who ends up seducing her before killing Red's granny. Red subsequently murders her out of rage and is incarcerated in a mental hospital. Inside, she meets Alice and her boyfriend Mad, who are inside because they murdered their families and have been deemed as irrevecobaly insane. Their story is a much darker take on Alice in Wonderland, but it's revealed that their 'Wonderland' was in fact a series of hallucinations brought on by a malevolent demon who feeds on their torment.

Around the same time, we meet Hansel and Gretel, two twins who end up on the run after Gretel kills her mother in self defence and an old woman in a cottage to cover her tracks. They are also wrongly blamed for their father's murder too. They end up crossing paths soon later with Red, Alice and Mad after they escape from the hospital, and also meet up with Luna again, who reveals that she can't die by Red's hand as she is a succubus (a specific type of female demon).

After that, I haven't decided on specific plot details, though I have an idea for the ongoing story. The plot moves between our world (the scientific realm) and a second world, a world of magic, ruled by a collection of gods and demons from all different mythologies from around the world (from the Greek gods to the Shinto deities, to Norse and Celtic mythology, and so on...).

The Snip to end all Snips!

Seems like alot of work. I suggest you start off small, first.
True... Right now though I'm focusing on the main story series, I already have two done and just in need of editing. Then of course the ideas for parts 3 and 4. I have a screenplay for the first part but can't do anything with it until my friends in my university film-making society have finished our latest project (currently in post-production), and I can't do anything about the music or comic aspects until I have people interested and ready to help out. So I'm taking things pretty slowly at the moment...

Do you mind sending me the stuff too? Or at least posting it(or most of it) online? 'Cause I'm quite interested in looking at your project.

I've got a story idea of a fellow who is getting paid to play an NPC in a futuristic VR MMO. He goes in to get "plugged in" to the network for the first time and has a character that he plays, reacting to the actions of that world as the character. I'm thinking sortof like characters at a ren fair or something (but this doesn't have to be a historical or fantasy MMO, I haven't made up my mind.)

As he goes along, he realizes that he doesn't know how to get out of the thing. The place they told him to go to leave after his 8 hour shift doesn't exist. Everyone he asks just tells him to settle down and live his life, and he is totally flipping his shit. Eventually he finds a resistance movement of NPCs in the game that are trying to escape.

Turns out, he actually did leave. In fact, he never entered. They just scanned him and dropped a totally virtual version of him in the game. When the real version of him gets out he asks about it, they tell him what happened, tell him they are buying his silence and pay him handsomely.

The rest of the story consists of the real guy struggling with the morality of the situation, the virtual guy trying to escape (a real exercise in futility). Eventually the real guy buys the game and starts to play. Hijinks ensue.

Any comments? Also, what genre of MMO should I choose? Fantasy? Sci-fi? I was going to do something like WoW just to be like "WoW will steal your soul."
