One idea I had a while ago was some sort of Western story about some kid who claims to be the son of a famous bandit, trying to track down and claim said bandit's supposedly magical revolver as its rightful heir. The Determined Bastard's Search for the Coveted Six-Shooter of the Bandit Zachariah Octavius. Originality, shmoriginality.
As an aside, its sorta dawned on me that nearly every story idea I ever had was always tied up in violence, intrigue, and other forms of grandiosity. I don't know, maybe it has something to do with how I've been feeling kinda "off" lately, but I want to do something different, something subtle and beautiful that I've never been able to envision before.
