What do you absolutely have to do in a video game, even if it screws up your job/mission/quest/wedding? What strangeness drives you when you sit behind that controller/keyboard?

For me, blowing up gas stations. Started out in GTA:San Andreas, haven't stopped since. Kind of a pain in the ass in inFamous since all that destruction is an "evil" act when you're trying to be "good."

I'm pretty obsessed with character customizing..
I'm probably more concerned with looking good over better equipment.

That and extreme active reloading

For whatever reason, in games I become an organization freak. Everything must be NEAT UNND TIDY!

In Assassin's Creed I would always take a detour to kill any archer I saw. The rooftops are mine! MINE!
It got so bad I crossed half a city to stab one of the pesky critters while the alarms were going off and the entire garrison was out looking for me.

Whenever I play a sandbox game, I must find a vista or some kind of view of everything, some place where I can just enjoy the scenery of the game engine, the other beauty. I especially enjoyed how in Red Dead Redemption how the game would switch to a first-person panorama view if you just let the game sit for 2 minutes or so- you could just watch the weather go by and hope that a cougar wouldn't ruin the experience.

That pretty much sums it up for me too.

I'm incredibly hydrophobic, I blame it on Jak 3, goddamn tentacle beast ate me the first time I swam out a bit.

I have a bad habit of instanly reloading whenever I kill someone in MW2. Even if someone is shooting me from the front, my finger just automatically jumps to the R button.

Firstly i look EVERYWHERE and gather EVERYTHING. I'll use healing items at full health to make room for more.

Secondly, while i don't take games too seriously i tend to immerse myself in them, Sometimes doing things i think the character would do(zelda series nonwithstanding since the thing i think link would do is try to bone ganon(not exactly secret but a special inside joke with my friends there)). Other games, like Left 4 Dead, i will stand in between a teamkiller and their target. I will also never leave a game just because i'm losing, no matter how badly(bots can be the best teammates).

Other times i play as what i would do, usually, again, gathering everything and smiting everything else(you ever used ominous wind in Mystery Dungeon? it's just not fair).

I know right? i do that in most sandbox games too. Walking over a ridge in Fallout to see the husks of D.C is something i'll never tire of. Used to do it loads in San Andreas. :)

(fucking cougars)

Ugh me too.I've lost count of the number of times I've been killed because someone's caught me in the middle of the reloading animation.I've been trying to train myself to stop doing it in Black Ops but old habits die hard

I'm a compulsive reloader, as well. I'm so bad about it that I can't use an LMG in any of the Call of Duty games because I'll go through maybe a dozen or so rounds and find myself reloading the 100-200 round magazine >_<

And don't get me started on those games that give you (logically) a reserve of magazines rather than a stockpile of loose bullets.

Yeah, they sure do. Which I why I've recently been playing as a knifer in MW2. Sadly my computer lacks 1GB of RAM to run BO.

I tend to spend too much time on character creator (unless it has got limited features/ options) or keep cool looking weapons which soon become no longer useful. powerful or worths.
