No this isn't a thread about your musical tastes, but rather a thread about the things that aren't your bread and butter. The strange little twists to your musical collection or even just odd songs that you like that go against the grain of your common musical themes.

For example: Do we have any hardcore german rave music lovers with a diana ross cd?

Granted thats a bad example as its almost to wierd to exist without creating a time paradox that will ultimately result in the end of the world as we know it. But you get the idea right?

Classic rock, with the occasional lady gaga song. I've thought about killing myself, but i'm to averse to pain.

Metallica, followed by the ELO, followed by Tenacious D, followed by The Beatles. My iTunes has a weird sense of humour when it's on shuffle.

I mostly listen to alt rock and dark cabaret, but I have a song or two by Polysics (terribly upbeat J-synthpop)

I don't think any of my music is strange or out of place.

I think its silly to expect someone to stick to one or two styles of music.

I have a version that's a cross between Destiny's Childs "Bootylicious" that's dubbed over the instrument work of Nirvana's "Smells like teen spirit".

I also have Bassline, and hardcore trance right next to a bit of deathcore, some death metal, Metallica and a few bands similar, Incubus, The Editors, finishing up with 90s dance music.

It's varied and a half!!!!

A mix of punk, alt rock, punk rock... with some great jazz and classical thrown in (I blame Bioshock, Fallout3 and the classical station in GTA :p)

I listen to a rather wide variety of music, and what starts as a strange indulgence often becomes a big part of what I listen to.

Cases in point: hip-hop is probably my most listened to genre these days, but a few years back I was majorly into metal (still love it, but it's no longer my most significantly played style). Then my friend introduced me to Cypress Hill, which I liked but as an island in the ocean of brutality. A few years on and I download some A Tribe Called Quest and bam, I'm in love with hip hop.

Similarly happened with jazz - the sound of a noodling sax solo is always a sound I've liked, and one day I found a 4 cd Jazz Classics collection in Woolies for £4. Snapped it up, and I've been a jazz fan since.

Can't really think of anything that's just a blip, there's a bit of everything in there.
