Strange places you've found stuff

I seem to have somehow turned off and stashed my cell phone while I was asleep. I remember hearing the phone's wake up alarm, then woke up a half hour late to find the phone gone. Ever since I got home I've spent the afternoon tearing through my house looking for it with no such luck.

For the sake of discussion - and help - what are some strange places you've found small objects in your homes?

...in an act of desperation, I'm off to check pant pockets ... and the freezer.

I found a bathing suit with the winter blankets. My cat in the refrigerator. I lose my phone constantly and once found it hidden with the dog's food dish (my dog steals everything). My wallet in the closet. I found a food tray under the mattress of the bed...

I have declared two shirts lost since I was 8. They were never found despite repeated redecorations. Also a backpack, a coat, a hat, some books ...

I think there's a black hole in my house. That or grabby gnomes...

Just today I found a bag full of gymnasts clothes. Just gonna give it to some kids I know.

I once got in the back of a line of 4 or so people at Wal-Mart & found $16 on the ground next to the guy who was standing in the front of the line but it didn't belong to him. A few days later I found out my uncle found $16 on the floor of a Wal-Mart in a different city. Who drops $16 & who stands in line next to it for a few minutes & doesn't pick it up?

I once blamed someone for stealing my Pokemon Sapphire after he stole a bunch of other games and then I found it several months later on a closet shelf way too high for me to've put it up there.

I've also found a big thin metal thing as thin as a drinking straw in the shape of a 3-quarters-finished square in the back yard of one of my old houses & a little girl's sandal in the back yard of another one of my old houses.

I had a box of Lego that seemed to steal things when I wasn't looking.
By digging in there I found a lost GameBoy Advance, some change, an empty ice cream box and some Beyblades, just to name a few.

The Beyblades were the only thing that made sense, since they were in the same cupboard as the Lego. Everything else I didn't even remember taking upstairs.

I found my wallet behind my tv rack, that's against the wall and 9 feet across, so if you have any unnecesarily large furniture, look behind it.

When I was small, I once found a fosil by trowing a round stone (wich I found in a pasture) against some bricks I had lying around.

The stone split into two and there was a small fosil of a seashell inside it.

Man, my money gets everywhere, but in a sock under a coffee table was the oddest. Sure, under the coffee table works, but why was there a sock involved? Somehow it must have rolled inside? I don't know anymore...
