I found this strange poem crumpled up between the branches of a tree in the park yesterday. Yeh call me crazy but I picked it up and read it. It is really odd, I cannot figure it out. Its in pretty clear handwriting but maybe its just the work of a stoner lol. It seems to mean something tho :S

Here it is:
Race race race does my mind in the light of winters frost and in sun and in rain
thinks me if I could would run into the right sun
The left one is far too bunched up together to be agreeable and brown
however did the last jump to its fate
as the two closed behind
barely finishing in the way
when the two avoid the one the one will split
joins the two when it cements with the third
more and more overwhelming the senses and limiting the enjoyment of the one
three at once makes the one free
face of the animal is one with the human
does that mean they are the same?
or is that the way they fall
alone would seem interestingly cruel
fall to the side as the rest collects
to many times to not be constant
my head flows fast
stutter and stop
so fast so fast
no time to slow must catch what one can
catch it fast
they?re running
away
im losing it
must grab on to it before it escapes
the battle is lost
and I am a fool

Escapists, do you have any ideas?

thanks,

I have no idea what it's supposed to mean, but I'm not going to give it that much thought. I'll just pass it up to the work of someone who was drunk/high/both.

Reads like the lyrics of a song by Mclusky or future of the left. It isn't one of their songs just to clarify, its just the same sort of odd style.

I think the first part of the poem is about three seasons: winter, summer and either spring or autumn. The speaker views them as if they were three suns, one he views as the "right sun" (meaning both correct and on the right) then refers to another as the left one (indicating that it is the wrong one). This sun is "bunched up" and "brown" suggesting autumn.
The next part (lines 5 to 10) seems to be about the way the seasons (or suns) interact and with this line "Overwhelming the senses and limiting the enjoyment of the one" suggests that the knowledge that Autumn and Winter quickly follow Summer lessens its affect "limiting the enjoyment".
The final part of the poem involves the speaking using metaphors to explain how it is foolish it is to speak these thoughts because the sun is in control a time will not slow for anyone and all we can do is try to grip what moments wwe can before they flit through our fingers.

That's my view anyway.

Well according to science that is correct.
Because no one else has been able to even form an opinion on it other than "must be stoned to understand"
congradulations

Nope, I can attest to that, it still doesn't make much sense.

It certainly has some meaning, but it doesn't sound like the work of someone high. Stoner poetry tends to be very meandering, very cyclical, this isn't.

However, it could have been written after an acid trip. It has the hallmarks, of seeming like too much information is bombarding you at once.
Hmm... Good point. I might go back to that place in the park to see if theres any poem writers there lol
