Hello folks of the escapist,

Recently I've started with "professional" strength training again. I don't mean I'm a bear of a man or stuff like that, no, I'd just say I'm quite fit with my 8 hours of training each week.
You will think now, "what the hell is this guy thinking? there are loads of other forums for this kind of topic!", but I want to know what the Escapist thinks.

Do you train your muscles or do any sports in general?
What is more important? Performance (more output in less time) or Condition (constant amount of output over more time)?

And what about those food supplements and that kind of "wonderstuff"? Do they even work?
Are they worth it?

If you're training, what is your training plan? Which exercises do you do?

I lift weights mostly to keep from sliding into fatassedness right now, I get some more plates and a bit of weight equipment I haven't cobbled together from a few different things(You know, something that won't fall on me if I put more than 100 pounds on it.) and I'll start lifting more seriously/heavier.

Some combination of both I guess.

Meh, largely unnecessary as far as I'm concerned, just up your caloric intake the stronger you get and don't eat garbage and you should build muscle fairly well.

I do the big 3 mostly, Bench, Squat and Deadlift, with some random shit thrown in for good measure. I've no idea what my limit is on any of them due to sketchy equipment(as explained above) and lack of weights. Other than that, if it makes me sore I keep doing it, if it makes me hurt I stop.
