err I'm calling BS, I know I get headaches if I spend too long staring at a TV or monitor, hell I use to come home from my old job with a headache so nasty I thought I was going to die, eye strain can induce headaches, that's just a fact, so if you strain your eyes playing games or whatever, your going to get a head.

I've got headaches linked to the frustration from videogames (And, occasionally, it's been amplified by the loud audio from my headset) but have never got a headache from the game alone.

I gotta call funny buisiness here.
There have been plenty games that have proven to cause headaches. To name one: Spyro on the original Playstation. At the time it was all the rage and myself and my friends would be almost comatose if we played it for extended periods of time ie. like all day. So much so our parents destroyed our copies of it.
Seriously.
But on the other hand I have not had a headache caused directly by a videogame in ages.

Yeah......
Indeedie. I know from personal experience that too much time in one sitting on the computer == headache. I really should take those 15 minute breaks everything tells you to, but meh.

For all I like this result, I have to take issue with the study. All it has said is that there is so much else going on that we have no idea what makes the headaches. Now, if they had, say, put a bunch of healthy teenagers in front of screens, etc., and nothing happenned, it would be a little better.

Videogames have given me "eyestrain headaches" on the occasion where I play for 12 hours straight or more, and although it technically isn't a real headache, it sure as shit feels like a real headache.

This kind of study is stupid. They could have gotten 3,000 people with no history of epilepsy together to play a videogame with lots of rapid flashing and conclude that videogames don't cause people to have epileptic seizures. Such is the train of logic that this so called study follows. Its called selection bias.

I used to get headaches like crazy when I stayed home all weekend, watching TV and playing video games. Then, I finally realized that the reason was because I was dehydrated. So I would drink a couple tall glasses of water, and my headaches would go away completely; maybe a half hour later. It increased the number of times I had to pause my game and run to the bathroom, but it was totally worth it. Forget Tylenol, just do what your body wants and put some water in it.

This test was misleading, the science is obviously on a slight vacation. Let me just explain the concept with three easy words: Dehydration, dehydration, strain
