if you know what you are going to say go on ahead for those who need a little more explanation read on.
What mod, race, item, spell, quest etc would you like to see lifted from oblivion and into skyrim.
mine would be the annoying fan that follows you around once you have beaten the arena questline. whenever the game stuffed up or froze I would load my save where myslef and the annoying fan where in the mountins*not gay* and i go peanut banana sandwhich crazy on him for a couple of miniutes healing him when he got low health the anger and frustration just slipped away.

Classes. Oh and resurrect the magic that was Morrowind. Make it a little more individual as opposed to generic fantasy.

As long as all the races and the conjuring magic returns I'll be happy. Oh and please can we get spears again.

easier/deadlier combination magic

can't remember how it worked in morrowind (i'm probably remembering the editor more than anything else) but i remember finding the book in the archmages quarters in oblivion and the only spells you could make that could be cast multiple times without draining magika or costing a fortune in gold to create were pathetic little squibs...

i remember making a nuke in morrowind... a fireball with huge damage and HUGE radius... cast it once and either kill everything to aggro everything straight onto you...

admittedly, that would break the game were i playing seriously, so lets just leave it with "better combination spells" and be done

also, highly efficient stealth... that was always fun

I honestly can't think of anyting from Oblivion, I can think of many things from Oblivion to not put in Skyrim.

I don't know...great mod support?

Seriously "what stuff from Morrowind" would be a much better question.

Ah more Elder Scrolls topics... I'm truly in my element here.

The feeling of independence and freedom about what you want to do with your character that Oblivion had was part of what made it so fun, I hope they find a way to keep that feeling on non linearity, and keep the game feeling open ended. I would also hope for some kind of arena, with much more vicious combat and more of an "anything goes" feeling to it.

I hope they take a few pointers from certain overhaul mods such as Oscuro's or maybe even FCOM convergence. When I walk past a cave or a dungeon, I don't want to think "oh just some imps, not worth going inside" I want to think "holy crap there are freaking demons in there, but if I go in I might get myself an awesome new enchanted weapon".

In those overhauls you had to get gear from dungeons and level up your character to be able to even hope of taking on the challenges you would face on the other side of that oblivion gate, you wouldn't get into Kvatch to see that the whole down had been destroyed by 3 scamps and a daedra.

Haskil. While the madgod Sheogorath was a "generic loony", haskil was content. He didn't have it all together and he knew his boss was mad like several hatters, but he was content with his "glorious Existence" as he ironically calls it.

Sheogorath himself was the kind of generic crazy person one would come up with when asked to act like a crazy person. Laughing madly, sputtering nonsense all the time. Boring.
With Haskil you know that he could have hid his crazyness a bit better if he wanted to and plot your demise so you never know what hit you. Haskil was more real then sheogorath, who just generates funny randomness.

Definitely Oblivion was the dullest game in the series.

Totally agree with you there; freedom was the thing I liked the most about the game, even though it was initially a bit daunting; before Oblivion I'd never actually played a game that was so open.

I've heard they are taking some pointers from mods people did; archery is apparently being totally overhauled more in line with the mods like Better Bows; bows apparently now do far more damage, but arrows are in shorter supply.

And I'd have to agree with you on having some dungeons harder than others.

OT: I hope (but its pretty much guaranteed) that they keep the same level of epic vistas; Dive Rock and several other locations in the mountains had brilliant views.

Most definitely, I don't want dime-a-dozen magic systems. Magic is... well, magic! It's supposed to be interesting and work in funny ways, I don't want things at face value and having 5 different spells that do the same thing but with different elements or types is kind of dull (not to mention everyone does it these days). I liked Oblivion but I really feel like there were a lot of things left out in the transition from Morrowind.

I want the functionality and flow of Oblivion, with the openness and mysteriousness of Morrowind.

Remember the quest you do for The Black Hand wherein you must stealthily kill 5 (or was it 6) people who were locked in that mansion with you? That was my all-time favorite mission, especially since you could whiddle it down to the old woman and the nordic warrior then trick said Nord into murdering the woman for you. Hilarious!

Speaking of in-game hilarity, I would love to see more funny easter-eggs. Remember the suicidal troll?

Lets have more of that!
