What is the most idiotic/strange reason someone has broken up with you?

Mine is her friend stopped paying her.

I can understand why some people might choose to end a long term relationship after one of the partners slips up and has an affair... and as much as that would hurt me if that was case if my partner was truly sorry for it I think I have the capacity to forgive.
My heart isn't completely made of stone, just mostly.


Actually a better one, a girlfriend of a friend of mine dumped him... why? Because she was worried about 'losing him'. She BROKE UP with him, because she didn't want to LOSE HIM.

There never was a reason why my last gf broke up with me during a 6 month relationship, nor do I care.

Told her to never contact me again, ever, and wished her the best of luck at school.

Few weeks later I get a heartfelt apology from her, saying everything was her fault (which I was all to happy to agree) and that she wanted me back into her life, whether as a bf again or even as a friend, no matter how long it took to build back the relationship.

Texted her back saying don't contact me again and the best of luck with her exams.

That's the last time we ever heard from each other, and I haven't looked back since, nor do I regret it.

What did she do, if you don't mind my curiosity?

Not sure if this was the situation but if she felt she was losing him then it would seem to me at least that she felt the relationship was going nowhere, which kind of makes more sense.

That or she was looking for affirmation that he would 'fight' to keep her and that he didn't want to lose her either. Which is crazy but that's people for you.

I know someone who broke up with their boyfriend because she couldn't not text him. She went 2500 texts over her plan (making it cost $250 more) when she originally has 2000. My guess is she was afraid he would break up with her because she stopped texting him, so she beat him to the punch.

well my ex accused me of sleeping with some random emo whore 6 months into our relationship, and i am proud to say i still retain my virginity, then on the last day i am told that shes been sleeping with someone else, and that they had pictures to prove it, which i saw. then she texted me saying that she did sleep with these guys. i then broke off a ten month relationship as i found out that she had slept with 3 guys and didnt give a toss.

what makes it worse though? the next day i was in the town centre with some of my mates, and the bastard who she had also slept with (i didnt know at the time) and she texted me saying i love you and i want you back. 2 hours later she was getting screwed by another guy.
