1. Action Movie Girls: Women are either borderline braindead and completely incapable of providing anything productive in a crisis, or are psychotic lesbians who are completely apathetic to any male characters until the end where they miraculously change sexual orientation and do the underpants waltz with the ruggedly handsome hero, Trinity for example.
2. Thiiiiiink Faaaaaaaasssst: In the majority of the films that are action/thriller the protagonists have uber skills and enourmous Space Brains, but are completely unable to percieve if something is a trap, or whats going to happen when they use their own name and ID papers at any checkpoint. Like hearing a noise in the next room, fully aware that a killer/alien is loose and deciding to investigate. Offering aid to a child surround by hundreds of dead commandos all ripped to shreds and assuming that whatever was able to butcher so many people so quickly wouldn't touch the child, that happens to be in a research lab/abandoned warehouse/doom fortress. The only film I can think of, off the top of my head, without this is the Bourne films.
3. Inverse Ninja Effect/Stormtrooper Marksmanship paradox: (Martial Skill / Number of bad guys present) / How significant non-evil character present is = ability to fight
