stupid things posted on facebook

What are some of the stupid things you have seen posted on facebook or myspace(as if people use that).

just then i get a status update. this guy and his friend bought a slab of beer for their drive that will take a few hours. well they were drink driving and get caught by the cops with a high level of alchol. now the guy that wasnt driving is now the one driving.

so yeah how about you?

Gah, I was just thinking about this... My brother and his girlfriend are fairly new to Facebook so they believe EVERYTHING they read and will frantically repost it.
'If someone called Bob McVirus adds you, don't accept, because they'll hack your computer and delete your files and kill your family!!!!11!'
'This week is daughters week, but somehow tomorrow is sons day and the week after it's daughter week again!'
SO ANNOYING. I'd hide their status' but I'm worried in case I miss something important about their kids or whatever >_<

One of my friends is fairly new to Facebook (I can't really talk, I've only had it since around the beginning of the year), his display picture is a photo someone took of him in a park giving the finger so I guess there's that.

Then again, I once wrote this story on my saxophone-playing friend's wall so I'm hardly one to talk:

*insert name here*, today I heard quite a sad story and, being a saxophonist I thought you'd like to hear it (it's on your wall because I feel it's worth sharing with everybody).

So there was this famed Jewish saxophone player by the name of Melville Kishpah, he was born in Munich in 1913 but travelled to Berlin in 1938, despite fear of Nazi occupation, because his dream was to play in the German philharmonic. He had sacrificed everything for this dream, he even cut ties with his Jewish heritage and relatives (a move he later deeply regretted) and having spent his money on documenting a new birth certificate and having plastic surgery to "correct" his Jewish nose he arrived, almost penniless in Berlin. He arrived at the conservatorium, grimy, afraid, clutching the saxophone his father had given to him at age 8, then he open the door, get on the floor, everybody walk the dinosaur.

Well recently my friends have taken to posting small portions of song lyrics for no apparent reason. I find that to be pretty stupid.
