Stylised games

I just finished a long game of Battlefield heros and it came to me that some of the funniest combat games I've played are not call of duty but are heavily stylised shooters like TF2 battlefield heros and maybe even valkyria chronicles. I was wondering if any one knew any other games like this? I'm not talking exclusively about combat games either and I realise that people may think this is a stupid question... Hell I think its stupid but hey, I could end up playing some really fun games so yeah if you have any suggestions please send them.

The Afro-Samurai game was surprisingly fun. Although I could be mistaking simple mechanics + cell-shading for 'stylised'.

I'll second the Bayonetta and DMC recommendations, haven't played Vanquish but given that poster's clearly good taste in silly camp fun I might give it a look myself.

Otherwise I'd add Blazblue: Continuum Shift and Dungeon Siege 3, they're not as over the top but they do focus a lot more on just having fun rather than pretending to be some glorious epic.

valkyria chronicles

Bit of a tip, if you go into Valkyria Chronicles thinking it's a shooter you'll hate it. It's a strategy game in drag. Great game though if you've got the right mindset.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by stylized games (my fault, not yours), but Mirror's Edge remains one of my most favorite games to this date because of the vibrant art style they used. Gameplay was decent, but really it felt like I was just running around in one futuristic painting for the majority of the game.

Seriously, that sequel better come out.

Ever tried the Legend of Sol'Tar? It's the ultimate action fighting game. He's shoots missiles, and when you do something good the Jack winks at you.

El shaddai , you know that game that was supposedly hyped but not really? It's pretty decent and trippy visuals . I also recomment lost in shadow , different , fun , interesting . Also a boy and his blob for the wii , very good game if you are into that stuff.

This. Bastion is great. Cthulhu Saves The World is great too if you like games Stylized to 8bit RPGs.

Borderlands has some great Cell Shaded graphics as well. Trine / Trine 2.

Not sure what you mean by stylised games but I am going to assume your looking for games that are not just generic shooters.

I'd also recommend Blazblue continuum shift vanquish, they were pretty fun games, although vanquish was kinda short. Still good though.
