So I'm at work, and I have to call a guy to help us do some wiring or something.
So I do! I get his answering machine. No problem, right?
Well I proceed to leave the most convoluted message, filled with 'uhh' and 'soo' and mistakes and I bumble through the darn thing and hang up. I then process to smack my forehead.
The problem is I'm not normally inarticulate. I work at a radio station! I do commercials reads, I go on air, and I've done some public speaking! No problem. But answering machines seem to be the bane of my normally smooth verbal deliveries. I've even AVOIDED leaving messages because I know I'll sound like a dork.
So my question is: Does anyone else have this problem?
Or am I the goose in a room of ducks?
