Ah well. At least I'll have a little more time for thinking about writing my essays and contemplating showing up for work.

Zeredare was speaking far faster than he usually did, he was quickly losing his calm. He glided over towards the door and he hit the ground with a thud as the stabilizers emitting from the bay pulled him down, obviously they had been malfunctioning to get this far away from their restricted zone. The gun fire had seized coming from the bay, one side had either won or they had all killed eachother.
"Regrel, throw in a smoke and everyone go thermal. We need to get to the pod."
Once you all rush in you aren't going to see any opposition, just a ton of dead bodies that were basically split in half. One life pod is still left, rush to that, and once inside I shall handle it from there on.

Without another moments pause the Grel raised his arm once more and launched the grenade, his cybernetic eye changing to thermal vision with a blink as he did so. Regrel was up and running before it hit the ground.
As it did so the small round pod smash to pieces. An unnatural gas escaped the sealed chamber within. In under a second the whole room was filled with an odorless, thick purple smog, so dense it seemed almost solid.
Regrel was already half way across the room before any mutant made a sound. His body low, his head staring straight ahead, his shotgun in hand.
Reaching the escape pod Regrel headed straight for the controls. With less than half a minute to spare there was no time for stragglers.

Wait...if the bomb didn't go off yet why are we in zero G? I believe I made myself clear that the bomb would be the only thing to take out the gravity, the shielding and the engines, but the ship itself would be fine...SomeBritishDude said:

Vfraar basically followed the grenade into the room, right behind Regrel. He sprinted across the sea of dead bodies, weapon raised and eyes scanning around through the thermal view that covered his HUD. None of them seemed to be alive, which was good, but he also didn't like the fact that whatever killed them was nowhere to be seen. It might have died too, of course, but looking at the state of these bodies that didn't seem likely.
Reaching the pod he stopped and stood right outside the door, covering the other's back as they all ran up to the shuttle and hopped in. As the last of them jumped in, he did a final sweep of the bay, then backed into the shuttle himself as the engines hummed to life.

Isaac was right behind Vfraar, and second in the escape pod. From what he coulkd tell it still worked, and there was no mutants in it. "Thats a plus" he said quietly
Zeredare rushed over towards the pod, his eyes darting back and forth as he pointed his rifle from one side of the room to another. Which each time he turned he saw the same thing, bodies of mutants that were torn apart, perfectly split in half by some sort of bladed weapon.
The text appeared on his HUD overlapping the broken mutants he was gazing out at. His attention turned back towards the pod and he jogged over, jumping inside of the escape raft and moving his hand over the controls. "This was a far more eventful day than I had expected..."
As the small space craft powered up one of the many doors to the bay fell down, flying off the hinges to show another overgrown mutant, though this one was holding a crude weapon, a makeshift rocket launcher. The pod levitated upwards and the mutant aimed its tool of destruction, Zeredare's eyes widened. Before the monster could pull the trigger and fire the missile a blur moved across the room, and the weapon it was holding fell in two. "What the he-" Once more the blur moved across the room, this time the freak was cut into a twine.
The pod let loose a roar as it jetted off away from the V3, barely dogging the flaming hot plasma blast that the ship made as the engine exploded. Zeredare took a seat in the center of the pod and muttered "Did anyone get a good view of what did that?"

Rezzea looked up at Zeredare's remark.
"No sir, I was focuses on my wounds, but I did hear a roar, did you hear that? Right before the thing and the mutant clashed..."
Rezzea gently stroked her chest again and groaned, I think the stitches or whatever has worn off, I'm feeling something move..."

"That would be your bones being mended back together." Isaac said as he gave Rezzea another shot of pain killers "And no I didn't see it, although unless it can survive in the depths of space, as well as massive explosions, it shouldn't matter."
Lucia turned to face Zeredare. "I can't say what it was for certain, but i saw what it did. That thing looked humanoid. It cut metal and mutant freak like a knife through swiss cheese. If it can do that, then I think it might have a chance. after all, it survived the vaccuum of space. And to be able to move that fast, with that much control, it would have to have a far tougher body than anything we've ever seen before. But if it took out a creature that was aiming at us, and was sure to destroy us, then either it is or was on our side, or it was one hell of a bloodthirsty brute. I hope it's the former, because i would not want to tangle with that monster."
