Rezzea looked around in suspicion, and then to Isaac.
"Maybe we've been compromised, or, maybe this is a set-up"

She started, eye'ing the place, hoping to see the Captain around.
"I got a bad feeling about this... are you guys sure the Captain sent the message?"
She said and checked her PDA. Definetly from the Captain, but still very fishy.

Aza set down his supplies on the glossy shined table, being careful not to leave any noticeable smug marks on it before pulling up a chair and taking a seat, leaning back as his eyes slowly looked over the room

"Yeah that would be pretty bad; I didn't even pack any weapons except my knife"

Lucia shrugged. "I'm loaded for bear. Anyway, the message was from the captain." As he said this, Lucia started to rig the entrances with booby traps. Nothing lethal, mostly nets and restraining devices. However, he rigged a knife to the vent. If anyone or anything tried to get in through there, it would get a knife between the eyes. Anything coming through the vents had to be sneaky & not want to draw attention to itself, he reasoned.

Plot devices and ambushes come and go, but another trap is always the right descision.

 

[Nukey]

Two well armed guards entered the room, almost marching in as Zeredare followed behind. The first guard shifted his head towards the other and opened his mouth to speak, though was cut off when he tripped over the wire, which resulted in him hitting the ground. The man who had fallen appeared to be fine, just confused.

"Nicely done." Zeredare turned his attention up towards the ventilation, noticing the light reflecting off the blade of a knife.

Whoever did this has some odd hobbies...

"Everyone sit down. We have important business to discuss." With those words everyone pulled up a chair and remained quiet, not wanting to delay the meeting any further.

"We might have some confusion here, seeing as you guys are already rigging traps, so I'll clear this up. We're being assigned to security detail, simply standing around a few hours and keeping an eye open. Now, I don't expect to see a large offensive force rushing in, but that doesn't mean you can slack off. You got that?"

Isaac sighed loudly and rudely. "Security detail? REALY?" Like we're the fuckin sentinals, and you bring us to a planet thats got more security than a fuckin police state, so that we can jump on security detail beside the thousands of armed soldiers as well as automated defenses. Can I ask why? Shouldn't we be in space, shooting muties?" He asked

 

[Nukey]

"I had the same thoughts, I just didn't swear as much."

Zeredare took a second to pause.

"Something about the heightened risk of a terrorist attack here, they didn't tell me much more than that. I say we just try to most of it. In my mind it's a much needed break from our usual routine."

 

[TheGreatCoolEnergy]

"Fine, I supposed. Still some FUBAR line of thought though; Why send in less than 10 guys when you could send in a whole platoon..."

Aza looked to Zeredare, his head tilted slightly to the left as if he were thinking intently

"Where will we be guarding? What terrorist group are we looking for? What is the apparent target?"

he asked all three questions in quick succession, his mind rapidly coming up with plans on how his beautiful rifle could come into play

Rezzea looked at Aza, admiring his determination.
"Yeah, is there a designated target? Maybe clothing, hair, face, voice? anything of that sorts"
She paused, and then explained herself.
"Surely a terrorist group has a leader .... or atleast a commanding officer, unless these threats consist of babbling baboons that live in the jungle and decided to take a quick trip to space"

She looked at the rest of the people, her shyness coming into town.
"...sir"

 

[Nouw]

Nouw heard the message and rushed down to the police station, hoping he wasn't too late. He arrived and listened intently.

"I didn't sign up for this kind of duty" He muttered

He realised that he was in lack of a weapon, he decided to stay on guard as an invisible one.

Isaac looked around. "I hate sucurity detail." he said quietly under his breath.

Zeredare turned to Aza, only shifting his body slightly to focus his vision on the man.

"We're guarding a research complex. The complex is actually two separate facilities, so we're going to have to split up. Myself, Vfraar, Aza and Jon shall be guarding the primary lab. Issac, Lucia, Nouw, Regrel and Rezzea are to be guarding the containment center. Any questoins?"

Aza asked, a C-pad in his hand as he recorded the captain's info on the mission, making detailed notes and suggested theories on defense
