2012 also gets referred to as a conspiracy. Seemingly there's also menat to be a planet from outside our solar system heading our way which could spell the end for our home planet. That's been called a conspiracy too.
By that I mean, isn't it funny how people seemed so keen to jump in here and rat on the OP for seemingly not knowing the meaning of the word "conspiracy" that they likely failed to actually read the rest of the topic where they would have seen that this fact had already been stated a dozen times already and acknowledged by the OP.
I might even go so far to say it's some kind of conspiracy! Though really, people will look for (and find) conspiracies everywhere:

Elenin will make its closest aproach to Earth on a speculative date of October 16th.... If any is left, of course. How close is about 22. million miles. What will rain down will be a small amount of debris instead of a largely intact comet. [sub] read down below for why.[/sub] And its leftovers AFTER THAT will return in 12 million years or so.
Plenty of theories about how this wimpy little comet could wipe us out is quite laughable. The comet itself was quite small, and wasn't even all that bright. These words can be used to describe all conspiracy theorists, but none the less.
1. It most likely lost a lot of mass from just space travel, along with its close encounter with the sun of September 10th. Even stepping as far as to have to deal with gigantic solar storm in August.
This simply means that we avoided a .0000001% chance of armagedon on a hundred million scale.

1. A conspiracy is when a group of people secretly work together for a nefarious scheme. Not when morons think we are doomed.
2. The escapist forums have different sections for posting different things. You posted this in the GAMING discussion when it should have been in the OFF-TOPIC discussion.
3. If you didn't mean to use the word conspiracy, simply edit it out of your posts so that you don't look like a tard.

More accurately, those "nutjobs" who thought it was in fact, a rogue planet, or that it would destroy us through STELLAR ALIGNMENT. Most of the doomsday theories had nothing to do with hitting the planet.idarkphoenixi said:

Personally anything above "no chance at all" is too high a percentage for me, we are talking about Armageddon here after all.
