Hah, I love your avatar! Just had to say that...it really puts some of the stuff pokemon had to go through in perspective.

That explains why he added the ability to save by taking a dump. I love the NMH series because it's has a couple of funny moments.

I wonder what other ideas he'll get for the third game while using the batroom.

Next, on the Escapist, an exclusive No More Heroes 3 developer interview with... the toilet!

Toilet: Please kill me...

Anyway...um...what's to be said here? Suda's a crazy guy so it only makes sense that he'd make crazy metaphors that border on completely nonsensical.

Game won't have the same atmosphere on the 360/PS3. the only reason why no more heroes 1 and 2 were so successful on the Wii was because of the system's low standards, and because it was nearly impossible to take seriously. i loved both of those games with a great passion, but i just can't see it working with proper physics and current gen graphics. Then again...Crackdown was pretty fucking awesome, so if it's done in that sort of style, i could see it working.

But, by calling no more heroes 3 diarrhea, it could mean one of two things:

It will be the last game in the series (because his bowels will be empty)

-or-

It will be the first of many bowel clearings (or sequels)

I'm hoping the former of the two scenarios is the translation for this metaphor.

The series is already heading towards fanboy avenue (and i'm on bored), but this series needs to die while in it's prime (honestly, even though the second one was great, i didn't feel that a sequel was ever in order). a third would be great, but satire as rich as this doesn't usually last through sequels. once the game starts being taken seriously, and judged with the same standards as everything else, the series will be over.

This is completely to be expected, bearing in mind you can also bat gimps across an underground lounge and slice up signpost wielding, paper-bag-on-head wearing assailants. Crazy.

what a charming comparison. There are many, many, many better metaphors that convey the same meaning, and not comparing your game to a runny pile of crap.
Have you PLAYED no more heroes?
This is probably the most accurate metaphor I've seen.

It stinks, it's tedious, and it's a little bit painful. He put it better than I ever could.

At least he knows the game is crap.
Yeah, but crapping can be enjoyable to some. It all depends on the person. Just like the game.

Yes like people who frequent the "German" section of the porn shop.

ZING! There are many people that enjoyed the game...I actually think Madworld was worse.

They even have nearly the same covers! Both games are turdlike.

Mmm.
Seems like a fine man to tap into for answers to the old "are games art" question.

Yea, I can't say I was impressed with Madworld but I did enjoy it a lot more than NMH. It at least didn't have the boring overworld you had to travel across to play some of the worst minigames on the wii. To tell you the truth I actually liked the graphic and sometimes disturbing Madworld minigames; I liked them more than the mundane Gas Pumping and Litter Collecting NMH minigames.

I do NOT get these analogies.
What the hell is he talking about?
Its a flagrant and overtly flippant spin on the creative process, wherein the various intake of new and old ideas, consumer and critical commentaries, and abstract silliness are taken apart on a metaphorical molecular level and meshed together (or "digested") into a mostly smooth finished product. Also it's a poop joke, which is statistically the most consistently funny of all joke topics. It really is quite clever.

If you still have no idea, I suggest watching the Zero Punctuation review of No More Heroes on this very site. Just keep it away from your Branston Pickle, the consequences could be dire... and it will be AWESOME.

I think Southpeak would agree.

OT: Not the best metaphor IMO, but interesting.
