Suggest a Persona Game

I have never played a Persona game and would like to try one. Which one would you suggest I try? Unless you really need to play them in order I don't think I overly need to start with the first one... but I wouldn't know I guess.

Which one do you think is best? I'm good at games so don't worry about easing me into the series, just whichever one is best. Thanks

Well, I'm assuming you have a PS2 in which case you should get both Persona 3:FES and Persona 4. Those are the ones I've played and they were fantastic.

Although there are other games that relate to the Persona series. For the DS I'd definitely recommend Shin Megami Tensei Devil Survivor. Really nice integration of the turn based combat in RPGS along with the turn based strategy system. :3

Plus the story and characters in all of them are pretty awesome.

The only persona game ive played is Persona 4, but that has made me want to go and play the other ones
