Wow... that's quite the list. o.o

Romance, Comedy, Ecchi anime/manga is what I usually watch, so I've got a fair amount of knowledge about them. I didn't list Fooly Cooly btw. It is comedy as well, but I never liked it. It's over-hyped, imo.

Hey have you ever heard of Please Teacher and Please Twins? I think you might enjoy them since there comedy/romance anime.

I didn't list them since I found a lot of it annoying.

Well I enjoyed Please Teacher because it feels like the only true romance anime since the main guy isnt scared when talking to a girl, he doesnt get stupid nosebleeds, and they actually did it.

I found Please Twins to be a bit annoying with the whole... We can be strangers crap.

That got annoying so fast >_<

Yeah, in terms of romance, Onegai Teacher did it better.
Twins just ended up feeling kind of creepy. So I'd rate Teacher much higher than Twins.

I tend to dislike the way Anime and Manga writers do romance. Mostly because every time they add romance it's between a God/Goddess and some idiot. Sometimes the idiot is female, other times the idiot is male, but their counterpart is always perfect or as close to perfect as they could possibly be.
Or, at least, some group of people's version of perfect.

Ah yes I really hate that in anime.

Got any other anime that comes close to Please Teacher?

Man, am I surprised here. Okay, there are alot of great suggestions here, BUT...what I think you ALSO should look into (if you haven't) is...Heroic Age. That is an anime for the history books.

You could also look into Yu Yu Hakusho or (if you're not that patient) The Abridged Series.

And finally...


Durarara!! Funny as hell and freakin' weird to boot!

I did actually start watching Yu Yu Hakusho a long long time ago in english (This was before I discovered anime online) but then it was taken off the air and I was never able to finish it, it was a great anime. =(

Sort of why I shelled out for the DVDs. If it's a good series, you'll buy it because you love it, even if you've seen it online already. Well, that's how I roll anyway.

If anyone is looking for an anime themselves to watch I would like to suggest Kaichou Wa Maid-sama! It's a comedy/romance about a girl as the president of a once all boys high school trying to keep the secret from the other students of her working in a cosplay cafe.

I really like Soul Eater, it's not all comedy, but it's very entertaining and have a lot of funny moments.

Also Lucky Star, but that one I know is rarely anyone's cup of tea, since it's about teenaged girls.

Last I checked, the whole first season of Big Windup (dubbed in English) is available on the Funimation website to stream for free.

It is a baseball anime, but the characters are very colorful and it's funny and intense all at the same time. It may just be baseball, but man they can still put you on the edge of your seat. The first episode is really good and gives you a good feel for who you'll be dealing with as far as characters, and the next few after that set up how the games will play out very well.

Personally I don't have much interest in sports at all, but Big Windup had me on the edge of my seat and craving for more even after episode 26. I know the second season is already out in Japan, but I'm not sure when they'll have it dubbed over.

And the dubbing is very good in my opinion, however I haven't watched enough episodes in Japanese to make an accurate comparison. The translations of the game terminology and figures of speech was very smooth, and it never seemed stilted or in need of explanation.
